The Republicans Have NO PLAN

This Blogger is a Common Sense Conservative, not a Republican, who supports limited government, lower taxes, less regulations, a strong national defense and an end to deficit spending that is bankrupting our country.  I know these things are the best way to create jobs and economic growth.   Hence, I am not a Libertarian.   I cling to my religion, guns and family values.  I am a Social Conservative who opposes abortion on demand and the legalization of marijuana.  I can live with Civil Unions for Gays; but I recognize that marriage is between a man and a woman as has been the case for 5,000 years.  I support Term Limits for Congress to help end the corruption we see in government. 

I am opposed to Crony Capitalism; though I see that sometimes government incentives make sense to spur business.  I recognize that though Wall Street has done just fine as a result of government action;  Main Street is not in good shape.  I support Comprehensive Immigration Reform; but only after our border is secure.  And, though I belong to two country clubs, I am not a country club Republican.  I am self made. I come from hard working, blue collar parents. I have never forgotten my roots.  

As a former student and teacher of history and government, I have figured out that everyone working within the belt way in Washington DC is feeding at the trough, one way or another, living off the fat of the land as they go along to get along.  It is all one big club at our expense.  This is one of many reasons I quit the US Chamber of Commerce.   They are part of the problem, rather than part of the solution.  I am still waiting to see somebody go to jail at the IRS and the Veterans Affairs Department for their shenanigans. 

I register as a Republican; but only so I can vote in the Republican Primary in Nevada, where I live.  I will never vote for a RINO again no matter what the consequences because it rewards everything I oppose.  Fortunately, in Nevada, we can vote None of the Above, which is exactly what I will do in November related to various offices in our state. 

This year Republicans are hoping to win the Senate and gain more seats in the House.   Given our lousy economy, mess overseas and Obama's unpopularity, it should happen.  However, if it does not happen it is because the Republicans have NO PLAN to govern our country.   What are the top ten things they would do if they gain power.  Nobody knows.  They are hoping the anti Obama fervor in our country will create a wave election.  I would not count on it.  The base of the Republican Party, people like me, are just as disgusted with Republicans as we are with Socialists.  I can't stand Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who would take over the Senate, if Republicans are successful because they are ineffective leaders incapable of communicating Republican core beliefs.  They too are tax, borrow and spend politicians, no better than the Socialists. 

Though I will vote for Republican Congressman Mark Amodei, in general, I am not happy with other Republicans from Nevada, including Governor Brian Sandoval, Senator Dean Heller and Congressman Joe Heck and several others, all RINOS, who voted to raise my taxes and for bigger government.   I will be voting None of the Above related to their names on the ballot. 

Republicans are saying vote for us because you can't stand Obama so that they can increase the perks they get in office and their personal wealth.  Establishment Republicans are feeding at the trough just like Socialists, which is the reason they oppose Term Limits.   Republicans need to give us a reason to vote for them.   I stated what I need to see in this Blog Posting to enthusiastically support Republicans.  Until then, my check book is closed.
