Peace In The Middle East - What It Will Take

There has not been peace in the Middle East for decades, or maybe even centuries, because we continue to focus on all the wrong things.   First, Islam was spread by the sword.  That is a fact, as Muslims conquered others tribes, to spread their faith in the Middle East and beyond.  There has always been the concept of the infidel in Islamic theology.   Whether they be Christian, Jews, or people of no faith at all, Muslims frequently gave conquered peoples the option of convert or die, so this is nothing new.   To be fair, during certain times in Christian history the same was true so this is not unique to Islam.  In any case, it still exists today in some Islamic countries.

And, then there is the Sunni - Shite hatred and the murders and wars it has caused.  Persian Iran is a Shite country along with certain parts of Southern Iraq.  The other Arab countries and other Muslim countries outside the Middle East are primarily Sunni.  Unless all of these countries embrace the notion of religious freedom, there will be no peace in the Middle East.   It is impossible.  This also includes the role of women in society, which comes right from their orthodox Islamic religious beliefs.  The radicals see women as property to be controlled by men.  That also has to change, or there will be no peace in the Middle East.

Many of the countries in the Middle East have artificial boundaries drawn up by European powers.   There is nothing sacred about the borders of Iraq, in particular.  Crazy Joe Biden was right.  Iraq should be broken up into three countries; Kurdistan, which would involve taking territory from current Iraq, Turkey and Iran, Sunni Northern Iraq, which could involve taking part of Syria and Shite Southern Iraq.   These peoples have been fighting each other for decades, if not centuries.  So, why not convene an international conference and redraw the boundaries making three countries out of Iraq.   Who cares.  It would end much of the strife we see happening now.   It would also create a Syria run by Bashir Assad's tribe.  So what!  Though, whatever the boundaries, ISIS would still have to be destroyed as part of the process because these Terrorists are murderers.

Specific to Israel, we should abandon the two state solution because it is no solution.  Palestinians are Sunni Arabs, no different than those who live in Jordon or Egypt.   The West Bank should be given back to Jordon and made part of that country.   The Gaza Strip should be given back to Egypt to become part of that country.   And, most important all Muslim countries must accept Israel's right to exist; otherwise there can be no peace in the Middle East.

Finally, Saudi Arabia must stop funding Madrases schools, around the world, supposedly teaching Islam; but also preaching radical Wahhabi Islam that teaches hatred of infidels, including Christians, Jews and all other faiths.   These schools continue to develop Islamic Fascists, willing to die in the name of Islam, by murdering infidels.  This has to stop if there is ever going to be peace in the Middle East.  Unless and until all of these things happen, there will never be peace in the Middle East.

Western countries have officially been at war with Islam since 9/11; though Islamic Fascists declared war on Western countries long before.  We will find ourselves in 100 years war, unless all of the issues in this Blog Posting are confronted.  Peace in the Middle East is possible; but doing the same thing over and over again, will not bring it.  It is time for a whole new approach as outlined by this Blogger.  Unless and until these things happen, the war will go on and countless thousands of people will be killed in the name of Islam and fighting Terrorism.   It is what it is.
