Unemployment Up - While Obama in Copenhagen

The unemployment rate went up, while President Obama dithers in Copenhagen dealing with Global Warming. For the week of December 12, 480,000 Americans filed initial claims for unemployment insurance, which was 7,000 more than the prior week at 473,000. There are over 16 million people unemployed in the United States. Mr. President, it is time for Plan B. Forget about HealthScare, CAP & TAX, Global Warming and raising taxes, for now, which are all job killers and focus like a laser on private sector job creation. We don't need another SwindleUS Plan. What Small Business in particular does need is certainty instead of daily lame proposals by the Democrat Socialist controlled Congress to raise one tax or another, or to enact more crippling regulations. Small Business owners are scared to death of all of Obama's Socialist Schemes; hence they are not investing in their businesses or creating new jobs.

This really is very simple. If President Obama would simply push the Congress to extend the Bush Tax Cuts for three years and lower Corporate Income taxes to 25%, we would see an economic boom in the United States. This should be accompanied by a serious cut in federal government spending to get the Trillions in deficit spending under control to prevent the collapse of the dollar. This Plan B policy, when combined with current low interest rates is all that is needed to spur economic recovery. Government just needs to get out of the way because government is the problem not the solution. The reason it is not happening is because Obama is tied to his Socialist ideology that prevents him from enacting a common sense, pro-growth strategy.

It takes a 100,000 new jobs a month just to keep pace with young people entering the work force. To put any dent in unemployment, we need to see 300,000 new jobs a month. Instead, we are still seeing job losses. Clearly, the original SwindleUS Plan, which may have saved some government jobs has actually cost private sector jobs so there is no new net job gain. And, I am very tired of hearing Obama say that he brought the country back from the precipice of a Great Depression. What a joke!! It was the Bush Team under Secretary of the Treasury Paulson that stabilized the banking and financial system by taking decisive action in 2007. I know I was there the day the Money Market froze up. By the time, Obama was inaugurated on January 20, 2009, the banking crisis had substantially passed at least to the point that money was flowing again. It is frightening to think what Obama might have done if he was President in 2007, given his complete lack of business experience and his team full of academics rather than real world managers.

How many more Americans must lose their jobs before President Obama admits that his economic plan is a failure? It is clear that Obama and his team are just not up to the job. While they dither and focus on their Socialist Schemes, Iran and North Korea continue to build nuclear weapons. The dollar is collapsing. Trillions in deficit spending is bankrupting the United States. Afghanistan is a mess. We need to take back our country and put Conservative, real world, grown-up's in charge. It is clear that Obama and all the egg heads in his Administration just don't have a clue of what it means to make payroll, or to work in the real world. We need to send these Socialists all back to the universities they previously taught at where they can talk about government all they want, rather than be in government harming the American people.
