Dirty Harry - The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all was pretty bad. President Obama flew off to Hawaii for a vacation as 17% of Americans were unemployed or underemployed. And, Democrat Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, the Majority Leader of the US Senate bribed just enough Senators with pay-off's and kick backs to enact the Reid version of HealthScare. Senator Harry Reid is the Grinch Who Stole Christmas from the American people. Reid went on to say that there was something in HealthScare for every Senator and/or if they failed to ask for something, Shame on Them.

Of course, if you believe Senator Harry Reid, the American people will get $500 Billion in cuts to Medicare for Seniors including the loss of the Medicare HMO's; $500 Billion in more taxes, higher insurance premiums, rationing, death panels and significant government intrusion into their lives. There will be 150,000 new federal government employees working in 119 commission to make our lives miserable. This is if you believe Senator Harry Reid and the Congressional Budget office numbers, which have consistently been WRONG related to every bankrupt government program. Instead of HealthScare costing a trillion dollars over 10 years as projected, the real cost will be over $2.5 Trillion because of all the funny accounting that would put private company managers in jail. And, once these new taxes are enacted, it will only be the beginning because what tax once enacted has ever gone down? Finally, instead of any deficit reduction, HealthScare will add billions to the Federal Deficit because of bogus accounting and also bankrupt both the Federal government and many states as a result of the Medicaid unfunded liability.

All should realize that sleazy deals are par for the course for Dirty Harry. Those of us who live in Nevada know Harry well. Reid has been involved in sleazy, crooked real estate deals to enhance his personal wealth. To get support from the mining industry, Reid threatens the mining industry in Nevada by saying that he is the only person standing between them and more regulation proposed by Speaker of the House, Democrat Socialist Nancy Pelosi. And then, Senator Harry Reid goes to the casino industry and tells them that only he can maintain peace with the Labor Unions to get Casino support. Reid stuck $8 Billion in the pork barrel SwindleUS Plan for a high speed train between Anaheim/Disneyland and Las Vegas. Keep in mind, Las Vegas is just a five hour drive away from Southern California and/or a 45 minute flight with a round trip ticket of about $134. This high speed train, if ever built, is a complete waste of money.

In the meantime, Senator Harry Reid fiddles on HealthScare, CAP & TAX and all the other Obama Socialist Schemes while Nevada burns. Official unemployment in Nevada is among the highest in the country at 13%, or more than 18% if all are counted. When Obama "called out" American organizations for holding conventions in Las Vegas, which is one of the most cost effective venues in the country, hundreds of millions of dollars in conference business was cancelled costing thousands of jobs. The Democrat Mayor of Las Vegas rightly went ballistic; but Senator Harry Reid was missing in action and said nothing.

And, Nevada has the highest foreclosure rate in the country. Las Vegas home prices dipped another 29% in November from a year ago as foreclosed properties represent almost two thirds of resales. The median price paid for all new and resold houses and condos in the Las Vegas metropolitan area fell to $134,900 in November from $190,000 a year earlier. The median price on a year over year basis has fallen for 31 consecutive months in the Las Vegas-Paradise area and last month was 57% below the region's peak of $312,000 median three years ago. Again, Democrat Socialist Senator Harry Reid has been missing action in Nevada. On a side note, it is a great time to buy a retirement home in Nevada.

In fact, Harry rarely comes back to Nevada because he knows he will face major protests. Reid's approval ratings in Nevada is lower than 30%. Senator Harry Reid is a Mormon. Reid is now even losing support among many Mormons because when final votes are needed, he supports left wing, Democrat Socialist radicals, rather than Mormon family values positions. Senator Harry Reid is the most hated politician in Nevada. Recent polls show that the top three contenders for the Republican Senate nomination; Lowden, Tarkanian and Angle would all beat Senator Harry Reid by 6 - 8% points. Of course, Senator Harry Reid will spend $25 million or more on his campaign. Reid has already been running commercials for months. Reid's campaign funding comes from big unions and special interests that have a vested interest in making sure that Dirty Harry remains in office. But, I don't think it will work this time because Senator Harry Reid is the Grinch Who Stole Christmas from the American people. The citizens of Nevada will remember Dirty Harry on election day in November, 2010 to send Senator Harry Reid back to retirement to his home in Search Light, Nevada. We can do it. We are going to do it.
