Socialist Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and the Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives recently said that we should see the Illegal Alien children coming across our border as refugees just like Baby Jesus. This Blogger does not understand the analogy; though I don't understand much of what Dizzy Pelosi has to say. According to Christian theology, Jesus was born in Bethlehem to the Virgin Mary as the son of God in what is now the West Bank and Palestinian territory; but was then Israel. Jesus was not an Illegal Alien having crossed an international border; though Jesus, Joseph and Mary did go into Egypt for a short time to escape the murder of the innocents by the Jewish King Herod. However, once Herod died and it was safe, they came back to Israel, their homeland.
It is ironic that Dizzy Pelosi would attempt to use a religious analogy to make the case for refugee status for the thousands of Illegal Alien children that have crossed our border with Mexico without their parents. Mary was with Jesus to the day he was crucified on the cross and never abandoned him during his lifetime. It was Mary who went looking for young Jesus when he was preaching at the temple. This Blogger does not see any connection with Jesus and these Illegal Alien children.
What I do see is Socialist Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, who claims to be a Roman Catholic; but supports the unrestricted right to abortion, which results in the murder of innocent children; about 50 million since Roe V Wade that legalized abortion. Pelosi claiming Christian values wants to give refugee status to these Illegal Alien children at the same time that she supports the murder of innocent babies. Go figure.
