EPA Destroys Another Family Business

The Environmental Protection Agency, one of Obama's Gestapos, is destroying another family business.   Mitcham Farms, established in 1946, as one of the largest peach orchards in the state of Louisiana is going out of business because the EPA has banned Methyl Bromide, a chemical that kills a fungus that impacts peach trees.   Without this pesticide, the Mitcham's peach trees are dying.  The EPA claims that this chemical is bad for the earth's ozone layer.  Tell that to the 60 employees at Mitcham Farms that are losing their jobs and their livelihoods.  The Competitive Enterprise Institute estimates that EPA regulations are costing the agricultural industry in Southern States about $1.5 Billion a year, which of course means more job loss.  When and where does it end.  This is the same EPA that now claims they can just fine American citizens, at will, without due process of law and then garnish wages and assets to collect.   These Gestapo Tactics are outrageous.

The US has the lowest labor participation rate, at about 62%, in three decades.  Obamanistas and their Socialist pals in government continue to kill jobs at every turn.    They are destroying the coal industry and the many good paying jobs in that industry.   They are destroying the lumber industry, which makes no sense at all, since pine trees are fully renewable and regenerate in about 8 years.  Many types of manufacturing are simply not feasible any more in the United States because of environmental regulations, which has pushed millions of good paying jobs overseas.

Obama, always on the campaign trail raising money, talks about job creation; but his actions speak much louder than his words.  Mr. President, approve the Keystone Pipeline to create thousands of good paying jobs in the US and to help make the United States energy independent, which is more critical than ever as the Middle East explodes.  We are all counting the days until January 20, 2017 when hopefully a pro-growth President take over to end the Obama misery.  In the mean time, voters have an opportunity to elect Common Sense Conservatives in 2014 and then again in 2016 to take back our country.  If it does not happen even more family businesses will go under.   We can't let that happen.
