Small Businesses Hunkering Down

It is no surprise that many small business owners are not supporters of Socialist President Obama and why should they be?   Obama is the Food Stamp President not the pro growth business President.  When Obama said during the campaign to business owners, "You Did Not Build That", saying instead that small business owner success was the result of government, business owners that did build their businesses, went ballistic.   In addition, small business owners dislike of Obama relates to his continued demonization of the "rich", whom he defines as married couples earning $250,000 a year, which also includes about a million small business owners that file personal, rather than corporate tax returns.

Small Business Owners are scared to death of Obama and his Socialist pals in Congress that seek to raise their taxes and bury them with regulations.   It is it any wonder that in the Well Fargo - Gallop Small Business Index, Small Business Owners indicated in November that they are hunkering down and will not make new investments in 2013 as a result of what is likely to come out of ObamaCare and the Fiscal Cliff negotiations.   Small Business owners see the Obama train coming and it is about to run them over.

Socialist President Obama just does not get any of this.  70% of Americans work for Small Businesses.   If these business owners stop making investments and stop hiring, we will see unemployment go up, slow, or no growth in 2013 and a lower standard of living for the America people.  Obama declared war on business from the first day he was elected in 2008.   As such, business owners are sitting on two trillion dollars in cash that will not be invested as long as Obama and all the job killers in his administration at the EPA and National Labor Relations Board continue implementing their tax and deficit spend Socialist Schemes.

Business will not invest money in this climate, which is the reason, we have not seen economic growth, or meaningful job creation since Obama was elected.   There are still 23 million Americans either unemployed, under employed working part time that want full time work, or that have just given up looking for work altogether.   GDP growth is dismal.   Obama can't make war on business and then expect business to respond favorable to him.   It is what it is.
