Socialism - The Road To Communism

It is no coincidence that the old Soviet Union was referred to as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. (USSR) Or, that Germany when governed by Adolf Hitler was ruled by the National Socialist Party (Nazi's). In both cases, dictators professed to be practicing Socialism for the good of the people. Obviously, this did not work out to well, did it? In fact, the NAZI regime was ended by catastrophic war and the Soviet Union suffered economic collapse not military defeat.

Further, European democracies after World War II have utilized a Socialist model to create cradle to grave societies. The end result has been high unemployment and a lower standard of living for most Europeans. And, now some European countries like Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Ireland face bankruptcy because their welfare systems are unsustainable.

Socialism if left unchecked is the road to Communism as is happening in Venezuela as Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's elected President is acting more and more like a dictator expropriating companies and assets and muzzling the free press. We have seen this story many times in history and it always has a disastrous end result as is the case in Cuba and was the case in Eastern Europe. And even in Communist China, the government is rich but 500 million people still live below the poverty line.

The United States has experienced Creep toward Socialism for the last 100 years beginning with Theodore Roosevelt's Presidency and certainly going through all the Socialist Presidents; Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman, Johnson, Kennedy, Clinton and now Obama. Of course, it is a toss up as to whether President Franklin Roosevelt, or President Obama is the most radical Socialist of the bunch.

What we have seen is incremental Socialism for years as the federal government assisted by left wing judges has grown dramatically so much so that literally every facet of our life includes federal involvement of one type or another. We are living with Big Brother and his name is Obama. Once President Wilson pushed through the federal income tax in 1913 in order to redistribute income, we have seen a steady expansion of federal control. And, let's face it, when someone must pay 60% or more of income to various levels of government, how is this different that a Communist system where presumably the government owns all wealth.

President Obama and the Socialists who control Congress support even bigger government and confiscation of personal assets to fund all their Socialist Schemes and as a means of redistributing wealth to all their PEEP's, many of whom pay no taxes at all. These Socialist hate free market capitalism and instead advocate a Command economy the same as occurred in the Soviet Union under Communism before its collapse. Socialist Obama Big Brother believes that Americans are too stupid to make decisions for themselves so instead government must tell us what to do, how to spend our money, what to eat and how to live and eventually die.

Socialism is the road to Communism, which is another good reason why we must stop the Creep by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits to help end the corruption in Washington, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to achieve economic growth and job creation. Obviously, the Obama/Reid/Pelosi SwindleUS Plan, predicated on Socialist Schemes, has been a complete failure like all Socialist Schemes in world history.

We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country to stop the Socialist Creep and road to Communism. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms, our nation and standard of living and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
