Jobless Claims Up - Nero Fiddled While Rome Burned

While Socialist President Obama is vacationing on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, new jobless claims for unemployment benefits spiked up again for the third straight week. New Application for benefits last week rose by 12,000 to 500,000 for the first time since last November. Currently, there are 4.48 million Americans collecting unemployment benefits, since real unemployment across the country is well above 15% when all are counted.

President and Mrs. Obama, who just came back from a luxurious vacation in Spain (that probably cost tax payers millions of dollars to support her entourage) are like Nero who fiddled while Rome burned. While all Presidents deserve vacation time, one would think that given the hard times in the US that President and Mrs. Obama would choose to spend some time with the American people in a national park, or maybe in the country at Camp David to save a few bucks instead of picking the spots where the the rich and famous spend their summers. Oh well, I guess this is "the change we can believe in" that Obama promised us during the last election.

In any case, President Obama told us that if his deficit spending, trillion dollar, SwindleUS Plan was enacted into law that unemployment would cap at 8%. Then Obama told us that if his HealthScare Plan was enacted into law that the cost of medical insurance would go down. Real unemployment is now above 15%, with 20 million Americans unemployed, under employed working part time who want full time work, or who have just given up looking for work. And, businesses are now meeting with their insurance brokers to find out that medical insurance premiums are going up in 2011 by 10 - 40% because of Obama Care. It seems that President Obama was wrong on all counts, wasn't he? Obama is either incompetent, or just a liar; not sure which is worse.

Obama's tax and deficit spend economic policies are destroying the economy. There is at least a 50/50 chance that we will see a double dip recession and/or depression in some states like Nevada, California and Michigan. And, the private sector is going to hunker down if the Bush Tax Cuts are allowed to expire at the end of 2010 as will occur if Congress does not act and soon. This tax increase combined with the rising cost of medical insurance will be a major job killer. If Obama and the Socialists that control Congress are allowed to move forward with their Socialist Schemes like CAP & TAX that will raise the cost of energy for all and lower our standard of living, there will be little job creation, if any at all.

In order to stop these job losses, we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real energy independence and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. This is the winning platform in 2010 and 2012 supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by sweeping these Socialists out of office. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
