Federal Government Employees Feeding At The Trough

USA Today recently reported that Federal government employees earn nearly double what their counterparts earn in the private sector. Average fully loaded private sector employees earn around $61,051 annually, while Federal government employees now earn around $123,049 in total compensation and benefits. What is wrong with this picture? This has occurred because public employee unions, in collusion with Socialist elected representatives and even some Republicans, have insisted on significant increases in pay for government employees, way beyond inflation, for nine years in a row.

Federal government employees received average benefits in their pay packages of $41,791 in 2009, which included exorbitant pension benefits, outside Social Security, that are bankrupting our country. Typical employee benefits for private sector employees were around $10,589. Federal compensation has grown by 36.9% since 2000, after adjusting for inflation, compared to private sector income growth of just 8.8% and this has occurred at a time of low inflation. All of this is outrageous.

This proves that we cannot trust Socialist Members of Congress to manage the federal work force let alone the economy. They have to go in November. Most of these characters, including Socialist President Obama, have never worked in business, or had to make payroll. They are instead professional scam artists running Ponzi schemes. And, all of these elected Socialists owe their allegiance to public employee unions, instead of the American people, because the unions are contributing millions to their campaigns and personal wealth. Whose bread they eat, whose song they sing.

As such, it is becoming very clear that we need an independent, citizen's organization determining wages and benefits for federal employees and that a formula is necessary, by law, to avoid this conflict of interest. Certainly, there is absolutely no reason that federal employees should receive total compensation and benefits any greater than is typical in the private sector, especially since it is almost impossible to fire a government employee.

And, all government employees should be on bankrupt Social Security, not defined pension plans that provide retirement benefits that are two - four times greater than the highest Social Security monthly payment. Federal government employees need to feel our pain related to Social Security and not be outside the system. Since there are over two million federal government employees, having them all contribute to Social Security will help make the system more solvent.

We have a new master slave relationship in the United States. The 50% of the people who pay all of the income taxes in this country are supporting the 50% (Obama's PEEP's) who pay no income taxes, including illegal aliens. And, we are all working to support elected Members of Congress and public employee union members that are living off the fat of the land, feeding at the trough. Instead of them working for us, we all work for them. They are the master and we are the slaves. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP because it is not sustainable.

We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by sweeping these Socialists out of office and electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited and smaller government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits to help end the pay-offs and corruption in Washington, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. This is the winning platform in 2010 and 2012 and the only way to restore economic growth and create jobs.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

P.S. Americans continue to lose jobs in record numbers. The Obama/Reid/Pelosi trillion dollar, deficit spending SwindleUS Plans have been a complete failure. How is Obama's "Change you can believe in" working for you" now? Perhaps those who voted for Obama should be the first to be laid off when job cuts are required. It is only fair, isn't it?
