Germany Rejects Socialism - Votes for Capitalism

In recent elections in Germany, the voters soundly rejected Socialist Parties to support current Chancellor Angela Merkel and her center right government committed to freedom, lower taxes, free markets, smaller government and fewer regulations. It as though Ronald Reagan and/or Margaret Thatcher have been reborn in Germany. Chancellor Merkel fully understands that Keynesian economics does not work because they have had big government, tax and spend Socialism in Germany for years and it has led to high unemployment and slower growth. The Germans get it. The French, Italians and Eastern Europeans that have conservative governments get it. The British are likely to get it next year when they replace Labour Socialist Gordon Brown with a conservative government.

But some how President Obama and the Democrat Socialist that control the US Congress do not get it or they do get it and see government dependence as their ticket to POWER. Socialism is a failed ideology where ever it has been tried in the world. Yet, President Obama and the Democrat Socialists that control Congress have a Socialist vision for America. Why haven't these people learned the lessons of history. The answer is simple. Democrat Socialists want more POWER to reward their Peeps and buy votes by redistributing income. It really is that simple. This premise has been the basis for every action taken by President Obama since his election.

The problem is that Obama's Socialist schemes will lead to the collapse of the US Dollar, high interest rates and inflation, high unemployment, a lower standard of living for our people and eventually to the bankruptcy of the United States. I am convinced the Democrat Socialists want to see all of this happen because it is impossible that any rational politician would otherwise support these Socialist schemes. Democrat Socialists and their Peeps want to create an even bigger "crisis" to seize more POWER for the federal government; translation THEM.

Old Abe Lincoln once said, "You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strenghten the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away the people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves". Gosh, so simple yet so brilliant and so relevant today.

It is no coincidence that the top ten cities in the US with the highest poverty; Detroit, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Miami, St. Louis, El Paso, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Newark have all been governed by Democrat Socialist Mayors for years and/or they have never had a Republican mayor. Instead of promoting pro-growth low tax policies, these mayors and cities have pushed jobs out of their cities and made their residents dependent on welfare and other government programs to buy votes and stay in POWER. As Milton Friedman the brilliant Nobel prize winning conservative economist points out, Capitalism is even more important to the poor than to the rich because it is the only system, with all its boom and bust flaws, that has created a higher standard of living for all. Yet, Obama and the Democrat Socialists that control Congress still don't get it, or they do get it and realize that their ticket to POWER is dependence on them and big government. We must help these Democrat Socialist politicians see the light and or feel the heat at the ballot box in upcoming elections. It is very clear that we must take back our country for the good of our children and grand children and to really help the poor escape big government slavery, poverty and dependence.
