The Truth About The National Debt Ceiling

Socialist President Obama and his pals in Congress want to raise the $14.3 Trillion Debt Ceiling so that they can continue to borrow and spend trillions more on their PEEP's, the 51% of Americans that pay no income taxes at all, those on the dole and public employee union government workers.   If the Socialists in Washington had their way, they would raise the Debt Ceiling by trillions of dollars without any cut in spending; but that is not going to happen now that Republicans control the House of Representatives.  The fact is that there really is no reason to raise the Debt Ceiling at all.   The federal government takes in about $200 Billion in revenues every month.   The interest on the current National Debt of $14.3 Trillion is about $20 Billion a month.   If there is a prioritization of federal expenditures, the money is there to pay the interest on the Debt.  This is no different than managing your household income.   The interest on the National Debt is the nation's mortgage payment and it should be paid before all other expenses.   The problem is not so much the official National Debt; but rather the $62 trillion of unfunded liablity for Social Security, Medicare and government pensions that will explode on our nation like a nuclear weapon in the next 10 - 30 years. 

In any case, to deal with the official National Debt,  many government programs, agencies and cabinet posts like the totally redundant and unnecessary Department of Education would have to be eliminated.   Oh my God, what horror!!   The very notion that government programs, agencies and cabinet posts would be eliminated altogether is an impossible remedy to Socialists committed to even bigger government; but that is exactly what needs to happen to end the Trillions in deficit spending.   And then of course, entitlements must be addressed to deal with that $62 trillion of unfunded liability.  There is no lock box.  Our monthly contributions have all been stolen since 1965.  The money is gone with the wind.   The Socialists and even many Republicans won't vote to deal with these deficits because they are addicted to government spending, just like addicts on crack and they use our money to stay in power.

About the best we will see happen, which is a start, if it is real, is that the Debt Ceiling will be raised in accordance with supposed cuts in spending.   So Socialists will eventually agree to about two Trillion dollars in cuts to raise the Debt Ceiling by two Trillion dollars.   Not sure what that will achieve since it will allow Obama to borrow and spend another two Trillion dollars in the next year or two, but at least there might actually be a cut in spending.   However, as a condition for the deal Republicans must NOT agree to any new taxes and the Congress must enact a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment to get our country back on track and prevent the bankruptcy of the United States.  

Any Republican that votes for higher taxes and or does not hold the line related to these conditions is a goner.  Those Republicans that violate these principles will be deemed to be RINO's and they will be challenged in their state primaries by Tea Party Candidates.  WE THE PEOPLE are serious about taking back our country.   We recognize that to do it, we must sweep these Socialists, including President Obama and RINO's out of office in 2012 and 2014.   Instead, we must work to elect rock solid, common sense Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation.   This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in our country.  

President Obama and his Socialist pals are a clear and present danger to our nation.   These Socialists are responsible for 22 million Americans unemployed, under employed working part time that want full time work, or for those that have just given up looking for work.   Obama and his pals are job killers.  We have to push these Socialists out of office to take back our country.  We can do it.   We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.   Don't believe what you are hearing from the Socialists about the National Debt Ceiling.   It is all just spin.
