Getting The United States Back On Track

When this Blogger's grandparents came to America with the required $25 in their pockets a hundred years ago, there was no income tax, no welfare, no Medicare, no Social Security and no food stamps.  People had to work hard to provide for their families since other than charity assistance, there were no government hand outs and they were better for it.   As a result, Americans built the greatest country is the history of the world.  The beginning of our demise came with the Socialist Constitutional Amendment to allow for the federal income tax in 1913 to facilitate the redistribution of income in the name of "social justice".   And then came Roosevelt's New Deal that began the nanny state that is bankrupting our country.

Today, about 47% of Americans (about 70 million) pay no income taxes at all.   Of those, 23 million low income Americans, that pay no income taxes, actually get checks from the federal government each year as the Earned Income Tax credit to bribe them into working rather than going on welfare.   43 million Americans are on food stamps.  Millions of Americans receive Workman's Compensation and Disability checks rather than work full time, even though they are perfectly capable of working.  It is well known that a high percentage of those on Disability commit fraud and do work on the side making money "under the table".   Farmers receive billions in subsidies not to produce food.   And, then of course, we have public employees, represented by unions, that receive compensation, benefits and pensions far in excess of what is common in the private sector paid for by the tax payer.

The federal government waste billions of dollars each year on all kinds of crazy programs.   There are many local, state and federal departments and agencies that are completely redundant creating a stifling bureaucracy that is not only bankrupting our country, it is killing jobs and economic growth in the US.   Public Employee Unions, Environmental wackos and trial lawyers, represented by Socialists in government, often make doing business in America difficult if not impossible.   There is something very wrong with this picture.

WE THE PEOPLE in just trying to manage our daily personal lives have let all of this happen.   We have stood by for about a hundred years as Socialist creep has occurred.   Now, WE THE PEOPLE have to say NO to Socialism to get our country back on track and prevent the bankruptcy of the United States.  We have to sweep these Socialists out of office in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives (not RINO's) that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation.   This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in our country and to prevent the bankruptcy of the United States.

Most important, we must eliminate programs like welfare, except perhaps for the infirm or mentally handicapped, in favor of workfare and vocational education as a requirement for any government assistance.   We have to get rid of all the redundant local, state and federal departments and agencies that are strangling our economy.   We have to deny the public employee unions, environmental wackos and trial lawyers the opportunities to destroy our economy and our nation.  WE THE PEOPLE have work to do.   We have to take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by sweeping these Socialists, including President Obama, out of office.   We have to finish the job we began in 2010.   We must work together to get our country back on track.  We can do it.   We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
