Obama's Jobs Summit

This week President Obama will hold a "Jobs Summit" to prove that he cares about the 15 million unemployed in the United States. What a bunch of baloney. This will be a big Photo Op as Obama brings together the CEO's of Google, Comcast, Boeing, Disney, FedEX and labor leaders as well as economists that support his economic plan. Maybe he can get them all to wear white jackets like he did with the doctors that support his HealthScare Plan. There is one big problem with this picture. Small Business employs more than 70% of Americans. And, Small Business is scared to death of Obama and the Democrat Socialists that control Congress because a day does not go by that the Democrat Socialists don't propose a new tax, or regulations that will kill Small Business.

When Obama and the Democrat Socialist pushed through the $787 Billion SwindleUS Plan without even reading it, they promised us that unemployment would top out at 8%. THEY WERE WRONG. Many conservatives told Obama that the SwindleUS Plan would do little to bring about economic recovery and THEY WERE RIGHT. We now have official unemployment at 10.2% and growing; but the real unemployment rate if all are counted is well above 17%, the highest level of unemployment since the Great Depression. Holding a "Jobs Summit" to discuss all of this is really a waste of time unless and until Obama admits that his economic plan is a failure.

President Obama and the Democrat Socialists that control Congress are clearly the problem not the solution. They are so stuck in their left wing ideology that they simply will not apply supply side economics that has always worked any where, any place, it has been tried in the world. Instead, Obama clings to Keynesian economics that promotes high taxes and deficit government spending, which has failed every where, every place it has been implemented in the world. Socialism just does not work. The lessons of history demonstrate all of this time and again.

If Obama really wants to promote job creation and economic growth all he has to do is make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent, cut corporate income and capital gains taxes, cut unnecessary regulation and deal with frivolous lawsuits that are killing business. The government does not need to spend another dime. Government just needs to get out of the way and let the private sector grow the economy, which is the only way to make it happen. Obama will not do this because he is a Socialist. When challenged during the campaign by a liberal journalist who said to Obama that every time capital gains taxes are cut, the government actually generates more revenues; Obama acknowledged this fact; but then said that higher capital gains taxes should be enacted because it was more fair even if the government gets less revenues. As Forest Gump always said, Stupid is as Stupid Does and this comment by Obama was about as stupid as any I have ever heard from any politician. However, it shows that Obama's goal of redistribution of income is more important than jobs, economic growth, or the American people.

So this week there will be a "Jobs Summit" that will amount to nothing. President Obama is a Socialist. Unless there is a miraculous conversion by the hand of God, it is doubtful that Obama will see the light any time soon. Obama wants to grow government. Unemployed people need government support. This is all part of Obama's Socialist Scheme. Unfortunately, it will all lead to misery and a lower standard of living for the American people; but then Obama, who has never managed any private or public enterprise, lives in the White House on easy street.

Mr. President, if you want to learn how to make jobs, just call me for advice. I have been doing it for 30 years both working in corporate America and as a Small Businessman. As such, and because I have learned the lessons of history, I know that President Obama is leading us in the wrong direction. And, until Obama either changes direction or we change Obama, the United States will not experience economic recovery. It really is that simple.
