Reducing The Size Of The Federal Government

The United States is facing bankruptcy, the same as is occurring in countries like Italy and Greece.   Our National Debt will soon reach $16.7 Trillion, the amount of Debt recently authorized by Congress.   Our country is borrowing $4 Billion every day to fund the workings of the Federal Government.   These numbers are staggering; yet Congress goes on business as usual.  Republicans in the Congress recently suggested a salary freeze  for three years and cutting the number of federal employees to fund the Social Security Payroll Tax Holiday for another year in 2012.  That plan was rejected by the US Senate.   Keep in mind, this would not have cut cost one dime; but rather just continued to borrow money to spend it a different way.

Federal Government spending is simply out of control with no end in sight.   Socialists like President Obama and his pals in Congress want to raise taxes a Trillion Dollars on the "rich" in the next ten years, which will do absolutely nothing to end deficit spending.   If this tax increase was approved,  Socialists would still add another $9 Trillion to the National Debt over ten years, assuming the markets will allow it, which is doubtful.   So the notion of a tax increase is a bogus Class Warfare political issue and nothing more designed to incite Socialist's PEEP's to donate money to their campaigns and go to the polls.

The reality is that we must dramatically cut the size of the Federal Government and deficit spending, not just tinker around the edges.   This is the reason there can be no more compromise with Socialists in government any more.  Meeting Socialists half way, as has happened for years, is the road to bankruptcy.   The Ryan Budget enacted by the House of Representatives; but stalled in the US Senate would have cut spending by $6 Trillion over the next ten years without raising taxes.   It was a good start; but still not enough.   The US Senate has not passed a budget in three years, as managed by Majority Leader Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada.    This is just plain criminal.   Senators should be denied their $174,000 salaries if they can't even enact a budget, each year, let alone cut spending.

The sad story is that there are so many Americans feeding at the trough, Obama's PEEP's, the 50% of Americans that pay no income taxes at all, those on the dole, public employee union members, the Mobs rioting on our streets, illegal aliens, trial lawyers, environmental wackos and companies benefiting from crony capitalism, that cutting spending appears impossible to achieve.   Or at least as long as Socialists remain in government, we will never get deficit spending under control and pay off our National Debt.

This is the reason we must sweep these Socialists, at all levels of government, including President Obama, out of office in 2012 and 2014.   These characters are bankrupting our country, often with Republican support.   This has got to stop.   We must cut 500,000 federal civilian employees out of the 2.65 million on the payroll, by normal attrition, in the next five years to shrink the size of government that is a threat to our freedom.

We have to get federal government spending down from Obama's high of 25% of GDP to no more than 17%, a more traditional level.   We must eliminate redundant government programs, agencies, commissions and departments.  We must reform Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to reflect economic reality and demographic factors.   But common sense will not prevail as long as Socialists are in power.   They have to go because Socialists are a clear and present danger to our nation as bad as any external enemy.   We must send them packing in 2012 and 2014.

As a political junkie, I know that we must enact a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment to prevent deficit spending and control tax increases because neither political party can be trusted to get the job done.   We have to take back our country in 2012 and 2014.   We can do it.   We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life.   Once done, we must reduce the size of the federal government to prevent the bankruptcy of our nation.   If we fail, the United States as we know it will cease to exist.   We can't allow that to happen.   We won't allow that to happen.
