President George W. Bush - Thank You

President George W. Bush recently published his memoirs in his book Decision Points, which is well written and worth reading. As a result, Bush has been interviewed on a number of programs to discuss his Presidency. Bush continues to demonstrate that he truly understood the office of the Presidency and that he is a class act; unlike Jimmy Carter and even Bill Clinton. Americans have short memories and forget the strength that Bush exhibited on 9/11 and thereafter. As someone who was in the New York area when 9/11 occurred and who lived it close up, I can only wonder what Al Gore, or our current Socialist President Obama would have done under similar circumstances. Given that Socialist President Obama refuses to refer to Muslim Terrorists as what they are, it is hard to imagine that Obama would have recognized that the United States was attacked on 9/11, much the same way were attacked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

9/11 was an act of war requiring a full retaliatory response, which Bush implemented when we took down the Taliban in Afghanistan. Would President Obama have done the same? There is no way to know; but given that Obama appears weak in dealing with our enemies and wants to try foreign Terrorists and enemy combatants in federal courts giving them the same rights as American citizens, rather than by military tribunal, it is highly doubtful that Obama would have responded aggressively to the 9/11 attack on the United States.

This is the case because Obama needs to be loved and does not understand that it is better for the President to be respected than loved. Obama may have learned this the hard way during his recent trip to Asia for the G-20 Meeting when foreign leaders literally laughed at him. Obama inherited both Iraq and Afghanistan. Iraq was pretty much settled, as much as possible, as a result of the surge implemented by President Bush. Afghanistan is not settled primarily because of Obama's weakness, hesitancy and indecision. It is this weakness that is a clear and present danger to our people and our nation.

Thank You President Bush for being tough enough to deal with the threats we face from Muslim Terrorists and acting accordingly. Bush clearly understood that we are at war, which Obama fails to see. Bush acted as Commander and Chief, while Obama acts as the Ditherer and Chief. It made perfect sense to set up Guantanamo as a prison off shore for Terrorists so that they would not be given the same rights as American citizens; yet Obama wants to close Guantanamo. The decision to use water boarding to secure information from these Muslim Terrorists, that want to murder innocent Americans, was perfectly acceptable; yet Obama has outlawed the technique. This is war, not a debating match at the University of Chicago, run by Professor Obama.

Socialist are always weak on defense, which is another reason we must sweep them out of office in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in our nation.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives that will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives that are strong on defense. We can do it. We will do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Every day we experience President Obama, President George W. Bush looks better. Many now long for the good old days when George W. Bush was the President of the United States and our Commander and Chief. I know I do!
