Some Believe The United States Is Lost

There are some in the United States who believe that our country is lost and on a downward spiral that is impossible to reverse. They cite the $14 Trillion that is our growing national debt and the billions in unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid that will soon explode on our nation. They see that the Federal Reserve is now printing money to monetize our debt, which will have disastrous consequences for our nation.

They view the erosion of our values and the deterioration of our culture that has occurred in the last 50 years. 43% of babies in the US are now born out of wedlock. The welfare state has destroyed the family in many inner cities. Nearly 50% of Americans pay no income taxes at all. They are takers, not makers, as they look to government for sustenance. China continues to emerge as a world power presumably at the expense of the United States, so much so that the while the last century was the American century, many believe that the 21st century will be the Chinese century.

These are all facts that would make it easy to just give up and surrender the United States to second class status. However, for those of us who have lived the American dream and who have children and grandchildren, we just can't let this happen without a fight. My grandfather came to America from Italy speaking no English, more than a hundred years ago, with a fourth grade education and ended up as a successful small business owner through hard work, focus, discipline and passion. His grandson, this blogger, with significantly more education, has worked with talented managers to build a global company that today does business in 120 countries, including Italy. The American dream is real and we who have lived it have an obligation to make it possible for future generations.

To do that, we must push back 97 years of Socialism that is destroying our country. We must recreate an opportunity society, instead of a welfare state, where hard work is admired and rewarded not scorned. And, those who do succeed and acquire intellectual and material wealth, as the fruits of their labor, should not be demonized by the President of the United States and or the Socialists in Congress; but rather recognized as models for all to emulate. We must help everyone in our country understand that government is the problem and rarely the solution and that dependence on government is the avenue to slavery not freedom. At the same time, we must take back our public schools to not only teacher the basics; but American values of hard work and patriotism rather than Socialist ideology and hog wash.

The United States will be lost if we don't stand up and say HELL NO. That means sweeping Socialists, including Obama, out of office in 2012 and 2014 because their solutions are a proven road to second class status for the United States. The only way to ensure that the American dream and American exceptionalism remains possible is to elect Conservatives who believe in free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and jobs in America. It also the only way to make certain that the United States will remain a super power.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives in 2012 and 2014 that will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren. We can do it. We must do it so that all can achieve the American dream. As Winston Churchill once said, "Never give up, Never give in." Our country, that many have died to preserve and protect, hangs in the balance.
