Nuclear Arms Treaty With Russia - A Bad Idea

Socialist President Obama is pushing the US Senate to ratify the Nuclear Arms Treaty that he negotiated with Russia, which would further cut our nuclear arsenal. Given the threats that we face around the world today, this is a bad idea. Russia is not so much the problem, though their democracy is hardly stable. Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and perhaps even a growing China are the problem. President Obama gave up our missile defense system in Eastern Europe as a result of pressure by Russia without getting anything in return. This was a huge mistake. The fact is that we should literally be building missile defense systems all over the world to shield the United States from nuclear missiles fired from any country.

In the event of nuclear war, our country will have minutes, not hours, to react. Missile defense is critical to preventing the annihilation of American cities. And, we need a strong nuclear deterrent to make it clear to all countries that a nuclear, or biological strike on the United States, or any of our allies, will result in a full retaliatory response and utter destruction of that country. President Obama is naive in his understanding of world politics. The United States must be strong to avoid catastrophe.

We must also be wary of the Chinese that are becoming a formidable world power. China is building a blue water navy to challenge the United States around the world. China already has a nuclear arsenal that can reach our country. And, let there by no doubt that if the day comes when the US cannot repay China the money they have lent us, China will demand Alaska and/or the oil reserves in Alaska as payment. If a US President ever capitulates to that effect, it will probably result in a revolution in the United States.

The lessons of history tell us that we must plan for today; but be cautious about tomorrow. While US power actually comes from being economically strong, which is a separate blog posting, we must also be militarily strong. Socialists like President Obama never seem to understand the realities of world politics. Jimmy Carter hollowed out our military during his Presidency. Ronald Reagan built our military back up, which ultimately led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War.

President Obama is young and inexperienced and is therefore a clear and present danger to our nation. We must make Obama a one term President to ensure the security of the United States. To do so, we must elect Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, real education, energy and health care reform, A STRONG NATIONAL DEFENSE, INCLUDING SECURING OUR BORDER AND FIGHTING TERRORISM, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in America.

Most important, we must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country to guarantee the security of the United States. We can do it. We will do it preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
