The United States - No Way To Run A Country

As we watch the Budget and National Debt drama in Washington, all we can conclude is that this is no way to run a country.   Borrowing 40 cents for every dollar we spend has to stop.  It is simply not sustainable and will ultimately cause the economic collapse of the United States.  We now owe more money as a result of our $17 Trillion National Debt, with no end is sight, than our $15 Trillion Gross Domestic Product.   We are starting to look like Greece and we see the end result in that country.   The fact is that we must stop deficit spending and soon.

We need to see a spending trajectory that will lead to a balanced budget and paying off our National Debt.  The Paul Ryan Budget did that sensibly over a ten year period.  Of course, President Obama and his Socialist pals in government will not even consider this common sense approach because they want to continue supporting their PEEP's to win votes.  Socialist just don't care if it leads to the bankruptcy of the United States.   If they did care, they would sit down with Republicans to cut spending and reform Entitlements.   There is no other way.

We are headed toward economic collapse, which will lead to civil strife on our streets.  We could see the dissolution of the United States.   I know, I know, it seems unthinkable; but why should we assume that what has happened in other countries can't happen in the United States.  It can happen and it will happen.  We need the adults in Washington, if there are any, to stop the fiscal insanity.

Obviously, we can't count on Socialist Obama to stop the madness any time soon.   We can only hope that elections in 2014 and 2016 will result in the election of both Republicans and Democrats who finally recognize that the current path in a road to disaster.
