Socialists Want To Raise Spending - Surprise, Surprise

As part of a deal to enact a 2014 Budget and raise the Debt Ceiling, the Socialists in the Senate, led by Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada are proposing doing away with the Sequester, that cut a measly Trillion dollars out of the $60 Trillion dollars that will be taxed, borrowed and spent in the next 10 years.   In essence, Socialist want to actually raise spending and further add to our current $17 Trillion National Debt.  Surprise, Surprise.   This may just be a negotiating tactic because Reid knows that NO REAL Republican can vote to raise spending as part of any deal.   It would be the kiss of political death for any Republican. 

However, this does prove that the Socialists are simply incapable of really cutting spending, which is no surprise.   Even the Sequester Deal only cut the rate of increase, not actual spending itself.   The United States is on the road to National Bankruptcy and economic collapse.   Based on what we see happening in Washington, it appears that this speeding train is headed for a train wreck, with no one in control.  Socialist President Obama may go down as the worst President in American history, even worse than Jimmy Carter, if that is possible.   Obama's legacy is not ObamaCare; but rather the downgrading of the United States credit rating for the first time in our history.

Of course, there are also all the Obama Scandals, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS Dirty Tricks, NSA spying on all Americans, etc. etc; but those are really just the icing on the cake.  Obama will leave behind a $20 Trillion National Debt by the end of his second term, adding more to the Debt than all other 43 Presidents combined.   It is shameful.  And, that does not include the other $100 Trillion or more of unfunded liability for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, ObamaCare and state and federal pensions that cannot be fully paid. 

In the meantime, we watch the soap opera going on in Washington.  As of now the government has been shut down for about two weeks and life did not end.   We did have occasion to go through Customs this week flying back from Europe.   Customs Agents are not being paid; but know very well that they will receive back pay.  This Blogger did thank the Customs Agents that cleared us through Customs for working without pay.  The woman at the desk did say that she was upset because members of Congress voted themselves a pay raise, while she has gotten none in 4 years.  What a surprise.   

P.S. Vets opened the World War II Memorial in Washington by removing Obama's Barricades.   Like fighting wars, they took matters into their own hands.  Good for them and the American people.
