Freedom Is Not Free

Since the founding of the United States, American men and women have fought in many wars and military actions ordered by the President to preserve our freedom and democracy.   Aside from the financial cost of these wars borne by the taxpayers,  many have died or been wounded in defense of our country.   Clearly, Freedom Is Not Free.   Preservation of our freedom has come at great cost to our people in blood and treasure.  America has been the arsenal of the world commanding both respect and hatred by many.   We have demonstrated that we can project military power any where, any time, any place on earth like no other nation in history.

The people of the United States have successfully faced foreign threats to our freedom and democracy; yet we have not fought hard enough to defend our freedom from the internal threats from Socialist creep in the last hundred years.   In fact, today everything we own, everything we do and virtually every action we take is taxed by local, state and federal governments in one way or another in amounts never envisioned by our Founding Fathers.   In addition, all aspects of daily life are regulated so much so that our freedom is threatened.   Government intrusion into our lives is constant and growing.

At the same time, politicians of both political parties have acted recklessly to bankrupt our country to win re-election to retain power and pay-off their friends.   We currently have a National Debt of more than $14 Trillion, which may be nearly impossible to eliminate.   Social Security and Medicare, which we have all paid into for years to provide benefits in old age, are both facing insolvency because of government mismanagement.  Our public schools stink and fail to properly educate millions of children.  There is a concentration of power among 9 or 10, primarily east coast financial institutions, that nearly resulted in the complete collapse of our financial system in 2008 that would have been far worse than the Great Depression.   As a result of government bail-outs, that were necessary to save the financial system, those banks are even bigger today than they were before the crisis.  These banks and some industrial companies like GM are deemed by the government as "to big to fail", which just insures another financial crisis some time in the future.

Yes, our freedom is threatened from within by "a club" of politicians of both political parties, public employee and other big unions and a variety of big financial companies that often act in concert against the best interest of the American people to retain their power and economic predominance.   WE THE PEOPLE must wake up and take back our country because many of our elected officials have proven over and again that they cannot be trusted to protect the interests of the American people.   Some of these elected officials should be in jail not in Congress for their corrupt actions over the years.

WE THE PEOPLE must take back some of the powers we have delegated to our elected officials by adding amendments to the US Constitution to require a balanced budget, term limits for members of Congress and the definition of American citizenship.   We also must gain more authority over government spending, which is out of control, by reigning in the powers of the federal government to more explicitly reflect the original intent of our Founding Fathers.   In essence, we have to role back 100 years of Socialism.

We have to take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by electing common sense Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation.   This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in our nation.

We have to take back our country to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.   We must roll back 100 years of Socialism.   We can do it.  We must do it.   Freedom Is Not Free.   We have work to do.
