Socialist Congressman Henry Waxman, of California, the Chairman of the House of Representative Commerce Committee cancelled a highly publicized Committee Hearing that was scheduled to "grill" America's CEO's about the one time charge they must take against earnings as a result of Obama's HealthScare Plan. This action will cost corporate America hundreds of millions of dollars in federal taxes, which means less money for job creation and investment in new products and services. Well dah!
It turns out that major companies like AT & T, Caterpillar, John Deere, 3M, Valero Energy and 3,500 other companies had been permitted to take billions of dollars in write-offs for providing their retirees various medical benefits because it resulted in Medicare cost savings for the government. Obama's HealthScare Plan prohibits such write-offs, so now in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, these firms had to annouce these charges against earnings to comply with SEC requirements. They had no other choice. More important, many companies will now drop these retiree benefits and turn this expense over to the federal government making our deficit even worse. President Obama promised Americans that HealthScare would save money and improve medical benefits. Guess what, he lied; but what is worse is that Obama knew that he was pushing a Big Lie.
No doubt, the Obama Administration told Waxman to cool it because they want HealthScare to go away hoping that Americans will just forget about about the $500 Billion in Medicare cuts, $500 Billion in tax increases, the premium increases and the rationing of medical care that are coming along with the death panels that are all in the legislation. And of course, there was all the sleazy, corrupt deals brokered by Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, the Majority Leader of the US Senate and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco to pass HealthScare. The last thing Socialist President Obama wants is more bad publicity that would have come from Waxman's Committee Hearing concerning his HealthScare Monstronsity, particularly with national elections just months away. These Socialists want the media to move on to get this story out of the news.
Well not to worry, WE THE PEOPLE are not going away any time soon and we have long memories. We are well aware of the details of Obama's HealthScare Monstronsity. 20 states are suing the Federal government to bring down HealthScare because it is an unconstitutional attack on our freedoms and it will bankrupt both the nation and the states. Former Republican Governor George Pataki of New York is launching a formal campaign to repeal HealthScare and/or to throw out of office those who voted for it. Yep, the HealthScare fight will be here for years to come until it dies an ugly death and is relegated to the ash heap of history. HealthScare will be listed in the history books related to Obama as one of his Socialist Schemes that was rejected by the American people, when describing his one term in office and failed Presidency. The title of the chapter on Obama will be Jimmy Carter II.
We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, lower taxes and less regulations, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we need to elect Conservatives who support the US Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by our current Socialist President, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. This is the winning platform. We must take back our country and sweep these Socialists out of office in a tidal wave of patriotism. We can do it. We must do it for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
