The Case For Limited Government

From the day we are born, when a Birth Certificate and Social Security number are required, to the day we die when a Death Certificate and Estate Taxes are required, every aspect of our lives in the United States is regulated. Our Founding Fathers could never have imagined, when they wrote the US Constitution to make our land a free country, that one day the air we breath, the food we eat, the jobs we have and all aspects of our lives would be regulated by local, state and federal governments and even home owner associations. Since the beginning of our history, we have spent trillions of dollars and blood defending liberty overseas when as each year goes by our country is less free. We defeated Fascism and Communism, only to face Big Brother Obama Socialism in the United States.

Today, we must have marriage licenses, vehicle licenses, gun licenses, fishing licenses, business licenses and all sorts of permits just to deal with daily life. Our son even had to get a vehicle license for an 8 foot rubber dingy row boat to go on a lake in California. Many in the US pay sales tax, vehicle tax, gasoline tax, personal local, state and federal income taxes, property taxes, estate taxes, corporate income taxes and all sorts of government fees, including toll road fees, which are just taxes by any other name. Many pay homeowner association dues, which are really just a tax designed to cover services that used to be provided by cities or counties. The fact is that Americans are regulated and taxed to death and even after death. Yet, President Obama and the Socialists that control Congress want to raise taxes even higher.

Ultimately we spend a good part of our lives and money just complying with all these taxes and regulations so that the notion that we are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have become just meaningless words. Government is in fact making our lives miserable. Of course, we need government to defend our country and secure peace and tranquility in the United States; but what we have now is Government Gone Wild. The fact is that WE THE PEOPLE must stand up and Just Say No to Obama's Socialist expansion of government. But it is not just about Obama. Our current Socialist President is just the culmination of years of government creep into our lives. We need to roll back the constant government intrusion into all aspects of daily life. The bigger the government gets, the less we freedom we have.

We have to take back our country by electing Conservatives in 2010 and 2012 that support limited government, lower taxes and less regulations, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives that support the US Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by our current Socialist President, former Presidents, Congresses or the Courts. We must take back our country to bring back limited government and stop the constant government intrusion into our lives. We can do it. We must do it for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
