Steve Jobs - The Capitalist Who Changed The World

Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple, recently passed away at 56 years old from pancreatic cancer.  Jobs, who dropped out of college because of the expense to his parents and because Jobs saw college of questionable value, went on to become a billionaire.   Steve Jobs did it the old fashioned way.   Jobs developed innovative products that people wanted to buy and he did it consistently.  Though Steve Jobs was the typical Silicon Valley, left wing liberal, there is no doubt that Jobs was a great Capitalist in the truest free market sense.

Most Apple products are produced in Taiwan and/or China so it is true that Jobs moved thousands of  American jobs overseas to build Apple into the most valuable company on earth, even more valuable than Exxon Mobil that had that distinction until recently.   In doing so, Steve Jobs made many Americans that own Apple stock wealthy.   These are the same Americans being criticized by  protesters around the country that believe that Capitalism and free markets are evil.  These are also the same Americans that Socialist President Obama continues to demonize in his Class Warfare campaign in an attempt to win re-election.   By the way, Obama's Class Warfare rhetoric has inspired the left wing protesters we see around the country.   These people are Obama's PEEP's, the 50% of Americans that pay no income taxes at all.   They are the Takers in society supported by the rest of us, the Makers.

While it is true that Steve Jobs, like many American CEO's moved thousands of manufacturing jobs overseas, Jobs created many more jobs in the United States by opening 350 retail stores around the world when others thought that was folly.   Apple's products directly resulted in jobs in software design, marketing, advertising, entertainment, insurance and financial services and probably dozens of other industries.   Even so, Jobs was criticized for ending Apple's charitable contributions during tough times to help save the company, even though Steve Jobs contribution to our country was the thousands of jobs that he created.  The fact is that Steve Jobs changed the world and will be recognized as one of the most influential leaders in human history.

Yet, Socialist President Obama wants to raise taxes on the job creators in the United States, people like Steve Jobs, who certainly was a millionaire, or even a billionaire.   Obama's big lie is that these Americans do not pay their "fair share", which is just plain baloney.   The fact is that the top 1% of income earners in the United States, presumably those earning more than a million dollars a year, already pay 40% of the taxes in our country.   And, four out of five individuals that earn a million dollars or more a year own the small businesses that employ 70% of Americans.  The top 10% of income earners in the United States that would be singles earning $200,000 or more, or married couples earning more than $250,000 a year, defined as "rich" by Obama, pay 70% of all taxes paid in our country.   And, the bottom 50% of income earners in the United States, Obama's PEEP's, pay no income taxes at all.  The reality is that the United States already has the most progressive income tax code in the world; but that is not enough for Obama and his Socialist pals in Congress and the protesters on the streets of our nation.   They want to confiscate even more of our money to fund their Socialist Schemes and limit our freedoms.

However, most people in our country that earn a million dollars or more a year are small businesses that file as Sub Chapter S Corporations, not Steve Jobs or Warren Buffet.   Small business owners earnings are the revenues of their companies.   They are Joe The Pizza Man that owns a pizza store that does a million dollars in net revenues a year.   If the Socialists get their way,  it is these small businesses that make up the vast majority of those earning a million dollars a year or more that will be negatively impacted.   And, when Joe The Pizza Man must pay higher taxes,  Joe will not be buying a new pizza oven that cost $20,000.   So the guys that manufacture that pizza oven will be out of luck and maybe out of job.

Socialist President Obama is trying to sell his SwindleUS Plan IV to spend another $450 billion on the "Americans Jobs Act".   Since Obama SwindleUS Plans I, II and III that resulted in a trillion dollars being added to the National Debt failed to create jobs, why would anyone believe that more of the same is going to achieve a different result.   In fact, 1.7 million jobs were lost after Obama's first SwindleUS Plans were enacted.  Really, this new SwindleUS Plan should be called the American Government Employee Act because it really seeks to continue the compensation and benefits for government employees that is 20 - 40% higher than what is common in the private sector.   Obama's SwindleUS Plan IV, like all the others before it, is just another pay off to public employee unions that support Obama.

If compensation and benefits for government employees was brought in line with private sector employees, we could take half the savings and invest it in infrastructure and use the rest to help pay down the National Debt.   There would be no need to raise taxes on anyone and especially not those that already pay most of the taxes in the United States.

Steve Jobs was an example of American exceptionalism.  Instead of glorifying the protesters in the streets criticizing free market capitalism, as was done by Socialist President Obama in his recent new conference,  the President should have recognized Steve Jobs, the epitome of American capitalism and free market economics.   Steve Jobs was a successful hero that should be immolated, not criticized as a wealthy Capitalist.   Steve Jobs changed the world for the better.   WE THE PEOPLE must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 and change both our country and the world.   We can do it.  We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

Steve Jobs was an American hero.   Job well done Mr. Jobs.  May Steve Jobs rest in peace. Steve Jobs deserve our respect and admiration for accomplishing the American dream through hard work, focus, discipline and passion, ideals the protesters on our streets will never understand.
