Senator Joe Manchin - Just Another Socialist

Recently elected Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia ran as a Conservative Democrat. During the campaign, Manchin said that he would vote to extend all the Bush Tax cuts for EVERYONE. Apparently, Manchin has a short memory because just this week, Manchin voted for New York Socialist Senator Chuckie Schumer's scheme to extend the Bush Tax cuts, but only for those earning less than $1,000,000 a year. That makes Manchin just another Socialist. If this bill had passed, it would have meant that many small business owners would have seen their federal income taxes go up from 35% to 39.5% in January. This is in addition to all other state and local taxes and the cost of ObamaCare.

Of course, this would have been a job killer had Schumer's scheme been enacted. But what is really important is that Senator Joe Manchin proves once again that there is no such thing as a Conservative, or Blue Dog Democrat. When push comes to shove, all Democrats are Socialists. This particular Socialist was supported by the US Chamber of Commerce, which has already proven to be a big mistake. The Chamber should learn a big lesson and that is never to endorse a Socialist.

Let's face it. The Socialist answer to big government spending is always higher taxes, rather than spending cuts. Socialist President Obama's Debt Commission came up with some good ideas to cut spending; but they also proposed two trillion dollars in tax increases, including a 6.5% Value Added Sales Tax, supposedly to cut the debt by four trillion dollars in the next ten years. If politicians are true to form, if new taxes are enacted, we are likely to be stuck with the new taxes and the cuts will never happen. The spending cuts proposed by the Debt Commission make sense; but they should be even deeper. The new taxes proposed, including a VAT and taxes on energy, will result in a lower standard of living for all Americans and the loss of millions of jobs. We can't let that happen.

These spending cuts are not likely to happen as long as we have a Socialist President. The Obama Administration is projecting another ten trillion dollars added to the current fourteen trillion dollar national debt in the next ten years, if we allow it to happen. WE THE PEOPLE must stand up and say HELL NO to all of Obama's Socialist Schemes to "transform" our country into a Socialist nation. Obama, who is bankrupting our country, cannot be trusted to protect the interests of the American people.

We have to take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by removing from power Socialists like Obama, Reid, Pelosi and Joe Manchin. Instead, we must elect Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in America.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives that will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
