Compromise On Taxes - Proves Elections Matter

Socialist President Obama caved in to Republican demands that the Bush Tax Cuts be extended for everyone not just those earning $250, 000 or less, infuriating many in the Socialist Party. This two year extension just kicks the issue down the road during an election year; but that's OK for now. The deal extends the Bush Tax Cuts for two years and in exchange Obama got 13 more months of unemployment insurance, which will cost about $60 Billion and add to the national debt. That means that many of the unemployed will end up with unemployment benefits for three years, which in actually contributing to our 9.8% official unemployment rate because many of these people do not take jobs beneath them as long as they are eligible for benefits. Oh well, that is the dumb part of this deal; but it is not the end of the world.

In addition, there will be a 2% one year break on payroll taxes, which presumably means that the employee contribution will shift from 6.2% to 4.2% if it is on the employee side of the Social Security Contribution. That means beginning in January everyone is getting a 2% raise for 2011, which will pump more money into the economy. Small business tax cuts are also part of this deal. The best part of the deal is that the Estate Tax, also known as the Death Tax, will provide for an inheritance of $5 million tax free with a 35% tax after this amount. This means that in most cases families and farm owners will be able to inherit their businesses tax free, which is very fair.

Of course, all of this will have to go before the Lame Duck Congress. The remaining Socialists in Congress will howl. These Socialists that support redistribution of income in the name of Social Justice will claim that this deal is the end of the world. But the reality is that they will either agree to the deal now, or it will happen on January 3, when the Republicans come to town and gain effective control of the Congress. This "compromise" with Obama marks two things; first that elections matter and second that Obama actually does want to be reelected in 2012. This is a final recognition by Obama that the United States is a center right country and most important that he will not have the votes in Congress in 2011 to continue on his path to "transform" our country into a Socialist nation. Just maybe Obama does get the message sent last November after all.

It will be very interesting to see what left wing Socialists do now. It is very likely that if Obama moves to the center, which is his only chance for reelection, he will be challenged by a Socialist wacko for the nomination, or at least the party will be so fractured that he will not win reelection. Obama will have to walk the plank on many issues including additional SwindleUS Plans, Bail-Outs and CAP & TAX that will not happen. There will also be many battles on spending cuts and social issues that will cause the Socialists to go catatonic. It is going to be fun to watch. And, the Republican Congress will begin to dismantle and defund ObamaCare, the cornerstone of the Socialist agenda. Obama will veto some bills; but probably not all changes to ObamaCare. So both ObamaCare and taxes will be election issues in 2012.

Elections do indeed matter. Now WE THE PEOPLE must go the rest of the way in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real energy, education and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in America.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives that will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
