Dealing With Public Employee Unions

Public Employee Unions at the local, state and federal levels are contributing to the bankruptcy of our country, since they have used collective bargaining to achieve compensation and benefits far in excess of what is common in the private sector. In fact, Public Employee Unions have used campaign contributions to bribe, primarily members of the Socialist Party, their lackeys, into giving them high pay packages, which include exorbitant pensions that are not sustainable. This has got to stop if we are ever going to deal with trillions in deficit spending and our current $14 Trillion National Debt.

Clearly, what we have in place now related to government workers at all levels cannot be allowed to continue because the cost is simply out of control. As such, major changes are needed NOW to get our house in order. First, government should outsource as many functions as possible to the private sector to allow for competitive bidding to provide various services. This will result in the elimination of many jobs, lower cost and better service. Second, Public Employee Unions, if allowed to continue at all, must be prohibited from making any campaign contributions to any politicians at any level of government. This is a major conflict of interest that results in these exorbitant compensation schemes. Third, and most important, Mayors, Governors and the President should appoint Civil Service Commissions, composed of retired business executives, to negotiate contracts with Public Employee Unions and or to simply impose compensation and benefits plans on government employees that are common in the private sector. Fourth, strikes by government employees should be illegal as a condition of employment. Fifth, it must be just as easy to fire a government employee that is not performing as is the case in the private sector.

There is absolutely no reason that government employees should be paid more than private sector employees as is happening now. Nor should government employees be guaranteed employment for life. And, government workers should be in the Social Security system just like everyone else. In addition, contributory 401K plans should be in place rather than the current pension schemes that are bankrupting our country.

None of this will happen as long as Socialists continue to receive Public Employee Union bribes in the form of campaign contributions. This practice must be illegal. The reality is that Socialists are owned lock stock and barrel by the Public Employee Unions, which is another reason we must sweep these Socialists out of office in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and jobs in America.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives in 2012 and 2014 that will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country by ending Public Employee Union dominance that is contributing to the bankruptcy of our nation. We don't work for these government employees. They work for us. We can do it. We must take back our country to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
