$14 Trillion National Debt and Growing

The United States is approaching a national debt of $14 Trillion and it is growing fast, so much so, that if something is not done soon the Obama Administration has stated that our national debt will grow by another $10 Trillion in the next ten years. We just cannot let that happen. As of today, our national debt is 14,000 Billion dollars that has been amassed in the last 50 years by both Socialist and Republican Presidents and Congresses. This does not include several hundred billion dollars more of state debt.

And, what do we have to show for it? Are our public schools the best in the world? Do we have highways and freeways free from traffic congestion in all major cities? Do we have best in class airports throughout the United States? Are our bridges, roads and schools maintained properly and in fine condition? Do we have a high speed train network throughout the country as is the case in Europe and Asia? Have we cured Cancer, Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, Arthuritis, Multiple Scerolosis, Cerebal Palsy or AIDES? Is our border secure? Is health care affordable for all Americans? Are we energy independent? The answer to all of these question is a resounding HELL NO!

So after borrowing $14 Trillion in the last 50 years, we have public schools that are rated among the worst in the world. Our highways and freeways in most major cities are in perpetual gridlock. Many of our airports look like those in third world countries. We have bridges collapsing, roads with pot holes and schools in many cities that are filthy and falling apart. There is no high speed train network in our country. We have found no cures for any of the diseases listed. Our border is absolutely not secure. Healthcare is even more expensive as a result of ObamaCare. We are more dependent than ever on foreign sources of energy.

Yet many of our elected representatives of both political parties have been in office for decades and this is the end result of their handiwork. If the United States was a business, it would have been bankrupt long ago because printing money would not have been an option and our credit would have been so bad that no one in his or her right mind would have lent us Trillions of dollars given this track record. The question is, why has all of this happened and what needs to be done now.

First, it is very clear that we need term limits at all levels of government and even for judges. Obviously, politicians in office for decades has not resulted in stellar results. In fact, it has been just the opposite. We need citizen politicians who have worked in the real world rather than professinal politicians who live off corruption, graft and the fat of the land. Second, we need a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment to require fiscal solvency. Third, we must have more citizen and state involvement as an additional check and balance against a federal government gone wild. Fourth, we must end collective bargaining for all government employees that is bankrupting our country.

This means a number of Constitutional Amendments and more involvement by WE THE PEOPLE. Clearly, we must take back some of the power we gave our elected representatives because they have proven over and again that they cannot be trusted to protect the interests of the American people. Many of the politicians, who have caused the fiscal insolvency and the problems we face should be in jail not in Congress. It is time to get out the pitch forks and the tar and feathers.

In addition, our only hope is to elect common sense Conservatives in 2012 and 2014 that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real energy, education and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth, fiscal sanity and job creation in our country.

Most important, we must sweep these Socialists and RINO's out of office that have caused our $14 Trillion national debt by electing Conservatives, who will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former President, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 to reverse the poor management we have seen for the past 50 years. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
