Creating Jobs In America

It is very clear that Socialist President Obama and the Socialists in Congress do not understand Economics 101. All of their job killer bills in the last two years and before have contributed to the high unemployment we currently have in the United States. If we are to restore economic growth and job creation in our country again, it will take a variety of government actions to reverse years of decline.

Of course, the Bush Tax Cuts should be made permanent; but even those personal tax rates are still too high. The top rate even with the Bush Tax Cuts is 35%. When combined with the average 6% state tax rate and all other taxes paid by many people, higher income tax payers, those that create jobs, are paying 45% or more of their income in various taxes, fees etc to support bloated government at all levels. To create jobs, federal tax rates must come down even lower than the Bush Tax cuts.

The personal income tax rate should be no more than 25% at the highest levels. The Corporate income tax should be no more than 25% to be competitive with other nations to keep jobs in the US. Federal Tax on Capital Gains and Dividends should be no more than 10%. The Estate Tax should be eliminated altogether since those monies have already been taxed. Or, if there must be an Estate Tax, it certainly should be no more than the same 25% on estates above $10,000,000 so that small business owners, or farm owners can pass their businesses on to the heirs. If tax rates were brought down, we would see economic growth in America, which could in fact produce more revenues for the federal government. But whatever revenue is produced, the government must learn to live within its means. Deficit spending that is bankrupting our country must stop!!

Next, all federal regulations should be reviewed and many should be eliminated because they are an administrative and cost burden on business that destroys jobs and that includes ObamaCare. In particular, we must review Environmental regulations that have destroyed manufacturing in America. Many of these regulations simply go too far and should be modified, or eliminated. Most important, we must implement a 50 year plan for the United States to become energy independent. In particular, nuclear energy must be a significant part of this 50 year plan.

France today gets 96% of its electric power from nuclear energy. And, there is no issue related to storage of waste because most nuclear waste can be reprocessed and used again. What good are electric cars that are powered by carbon fuels that are used today to produce electricity. We need cheap energy in the United States to create jobs, not more expensive energy as advocated by the Socialists and environmental wackos that will destroy jobs and result in a lower standard of living for all Americans.

We need a level playing field specific to unions in America. No one should be forced to join a union. Unions should be prohibited from making political contributions that have lead to corruption. Collective bargaining is OK provided it is not accompanied by a requirement for mandatory arbitration when impasse is reached. Union members can strike; but employers should have the right to fire those that strike. The compensation, benefits and pensions gained by unions and approved by management in the last 50 years have contributed to the destruction of manufacturing in America.

Clearly, if it only takes a few weeks to train a union worker to do a job, that worker is not worth $75 an hour fully loaded. There must be a recognition that there is a relationship between the job skills required and pay. And further, American workers compete with workers all over the world. And, while no one expects workers in the US to work for the same compensation and benefits earned in China, the reality is that American workers are competing with Chinese workers for a job. At some point, if the unions push too hard, the work will go overseas and that is exactly what has happened.

Obviously, Socialists and RINO's will never make these changes, which is the reason they must be swept out of office in 2012 and 2014. We must elect Conservatives who understand Economics 101 and that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and jobs in America.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives who will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 97 years, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 to create jobs in America again. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
