US Missile Test Fails - Danger, Danger

The US recently implemented a practice missile defense test that was aimed at shooting down missiles fired from Iran. Unfortunately the radar system provided by Ratheon and Boeing failed to meet the test. At the same time, the Obama Administration is selling various missile defense systems to gulf Sunni Arab nations in an attempt to "contain" Iran's nuclear capabilities. This is a signal that President Obama is content to live with Iran as a nuclear armed nation rather than destroy their capabilities. Obama is therefore telling Israel not to worry since missile defense systems will be in place and that as a result, they need take no action to destroy Iran's capabilities. Given the failure of this test, how can Israel react positively?

Obama unilaterally shut down the missile defense capabilities that were planned for the Czech Republic and Poland to protect Europe and the US because the Russians were vehemently opposed to having these systems so close to their borders even thought they were not aimed at Russia. The Bush Administration even offerred the Russians access to these systems to assure them that they were not a threat to them. Instead, Obama naively shut these systems down without getting anything in return from Russia, which only demonstrates his weakness to them. Let's not forget that both Russia and China are selling goods and services to Iran that are helping them develop both their offensive military and nuclear capabilities. Russia and China continue to take actions in Iran that are contrary to the interests of the United States and our Allies. Yet, Obama stands by and does nothing to stop it.

President Obama may have been a good law school professor as he taught his Socialist theories; like "Social Justice", the term for redistribution of income; but he clearly is in way over his head as President of the United States. Iran and North Korea are huge threats to our country and the world. Both of these countries have played the US and our Allies for suckers for years. The time for talk is over. There should be immediate and severe sanctions against Iran. The US should demand as much at the United Nations, including with Russia and China, or declare that we will take military action to take out Iran's military, missile sites and nuclear facilities, which all can be done by air. Iran is already funding Terrorism around the world so what more can they do that they are not already doing?

The prospect of a nuclear Iran is just too scary to contemplate to do otherwise. Specific to North Korea, we must find a leverage point with China to stop the shenanigans there. Sanctions would be irrelevant to North Korea so that option would be a waste of time. Instead, we must get the Chinese to cut off their trade with North Korea if they continue to develop nuclear weapons. This will not happen without a pressure point with the Chinese most probably related to trade with the US.

President Obama does not have the experience to implement American foreign policy. Obama is Jimmy Carter II and not tough enough to deal with these thugs around the world and other nations to get the job done. We must elect Conservatives in 2010 and 2012 that understand the realities of international relations. That does not necessarily mean going to war at ever turn; but it does mean exercising all levers of power. Most of all, we need a President of the United States not a President of the World trying to win a popularity contest so he can be Prom King at the United Nations. We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012. We can do it. We are going to do it.
