US Chamber of Commerce Fighting to Create Jobs

The US Chamber of Commerce is fighting to create jobs by opposing many of Obama's Socialist Schemes like HealthScare, CAP & TAX, higher taxes, more regulation and union card check that are all job killer bills. Officially, there are 15 million Americans out of work; 6 million for more than six months. When the under employed, those working part time who want full time work and those that have given up looking for work, who have fallen off the unemployment roles, are all counted, the real number is about 26 million Americans. President Obama and the Democrat Socialists that control Congress just don't get it because most of these career politicians have never worked in business.

The US Chamber of Commerce is perhaps the largest organization in the United States representing American business with about 300,000 members; yet very often the Obama Administration has denied the Chamber a seat at the table because the Chamber does not support Obama's Socialist, big government, high tax and regulation agenda. The reason the Chamber does not support this agenda is because it has never produced prosperity any where in the world where it has been tried. Well dah!! Instead, the US Chamber of Commerce supports free enterprise and capitalism as the only way to create the 20 million jobs that are needed to deal with unemployment and grow our economy.

In fact, many economists are now saying that the United States will have high unemployment for at least five years. That is true if the Obamanistas succeed in "transforming" America into a Socialist nation. The fact is that the US must grow 100,000 jobs every month just to deal with young people entering the job market. In order to put a dent in unemployment, the US economy must grow at 3% or more a year with job growth of at least 300,000 or more a month. And, even then given that 8 million jobs have been lost in the last two years alone, at that rate it would take years to get down to a 5% unemployment rate, which is often considered full employment.

The only way to accelerate this process is to extend the Bush Tax cuts for at least three more years to create some certainty for business. And, we must stop all the Trillions in deficit spending that is bankrupting our country. The US also needs to cut federal corporate income taxes to no more than 25% from the current 35% to be competitive with other countries and keep more jobs in the US. Keep in mind, corporate income taxes in Ireland are just 12.5%, Hong Kong is 17%, China and Germany are around 20%. As such, there is a real incentive for American companies to ship jobs overseas. Further, off shoring back office or manufacturing jobs to India or China provides a savings of about 65%. Those jobs are never coming back to the US. The only way to replace those jobs with high paying jobs in the US, that can only be done in the US, is to fully develop our energy sector, which includes all current energy sources; nuclear, natural gas, clean coal and YES oil and to build infrastructure. Instead, the federal government has made it almost impossible to grow these energy sources while at the same time pushing for green energy sources that are not feasible today. Further, it can take years to get infrastruture projects approved by the time all the environmental impact studies and court cases are concluded. Something has got to give, which is the reason our unemployment rate remains high and will not fall any time soon, or until we elect pro-growth politicians that support the private sector.

The US Chamber of Commerce gets it and continue to educate US politicians concerning the best ways to create jobs. Clearly, the Obama SwindleUS Plan, which the Chamber actually supported because they believed it would lead to funding infrastructure projects, has been a complete failure. It turns out there were no "shovel ready projects" ready to go because the environmental wackos tie everything up in court for years. This is the reason that more than half the $900 Billion in SwindleUS money is yet to be spent. And, anyway, government spending will never lead to long term economic growth. Only the private sector can create real jobs and only if the government gets out of the way.

We have to take back our country in 2010 and 2o12 by electing common sense Conservatives that support free market capitalism, term limits, limited government, a balanced budget, lower taxes and less regulation, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must get back to the principles in the US Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not successive Congresses, Presidents or the Courts to regain our freedoms. We can do it. We must do it.
