9/11 - Never Forget This Tragedy That Changed The World

This Blogger was in the New York City area the day 9/11 occurred.  The Monday before we met with a client right across the Hudson River from the World Trade Center, which was clearly visible.  We were scheduled to meet with a major client on that Tuesday, September 11th in New York City at 9:00 am.   That meeting was rescheduled to Wednesday so we were instead at our office in Connecticut at the precise moment that those planes struck the World Trade Center, or else we would have been right near ground zero had the original meeting date occurred.   However, I was on the phone with the client contact in New York City as he watched the towers come down from his office window.   We are forever bonded by that telephone conversation to this day and we will be until the day we both depart this earth.

Ultimately, it took me two weeks to get back to California, our corporate headquarters.   The next week we had scheduled an all company management meeting in Chicago.   Many suggested that we call off that meeting since we had managers coming in from all over the country and around the world.  As the President of the Company, I refused to call off our meeting because I refused to allow Terrorism to win.   We did have a few managers that were too fearful to fly and we respected their feelings; but otherwise we went on business as usual.  It is really important that we never forget 9/11 and the 3,000 or more people who were murdered in New York City, Washington DC and Pennsylvania.  This event was a tragedy that changed the world forever.

On September 11, 2012, when driving to work, I saw a truck come by with a flag flying.  In addition, the near by fire department was flying its flag at half mast.  After 9/11, flags were flying all over our country as the American people came together as one nation under God.  It was probably President George W Bush's finest hour the day he went to New York City, shortly after the attack, to stand with first responders and to honor all those that had been killed, while sending the message to the Terrorists that their days were numbered.

Sadly, while we have killed many Terrorists since then, including their leader Osama Bin Laden, the threat we face from Islamic radicals is still there.  These people, who hate freedom and everything Western, would use nuclear, or biological weapons to kill hundreds of thousands in America, Israel, or other countries if they could do so.  This is why we must never let Iran get nuclear weapons.  It is bad enough that unstable Pakistan has nuclear weapons already, allowing Iran to have these weapons when that country is run by Islamic fanatics that are clearly our enemy is unthinkable.   If we have to use military action to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, we must do so because the threat is so great.

This Blogger does not believe that Socialist President Obama will do what is necessary to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons at all costs.   Obama's engagement with the Muslim world has led to more Muslim's hating our nation.   Russia and China continue to protect Iran because of their business relationships.  Obama's has failed to stop these countries from supporting our enemy.   We need to elect Mitt Romney, the next President of the United States and gain Republican control of Congress to make sure we have a military that is second to none to take on Iran if necessary.  This is a matter of life and death, not just politics as usual.

P.S.  To donate to Mitt Romney's campaign to make Obama a one term President, just go to mittromney.com and click on Donate.  Once on that page, look for the line that says, I know my Referrers Information, click on that box and type in 8544, the National Freedom Forum Referral Number to make our voices heard.  Give as much as you can to take back our country.   And specific to 9/11, Never Forget.
