Cheap Energy - Key To Economic Growth

Old style Democrats always understood that cheap energy was the key to economic growth.  In fact, it was Socialist President Franklin Roosevelt that pushed through the Tennessee Valley Authority to provide electricity to the poor in rural America in the South.  Somewhere along the way, this all changed when the old Democrat Party died and was replaced by the Socialist Party of America led by President Obama.

The Socialist Party is now linked to radical environmentalists, as a major constituency, that oppose all carbon and nuclear based energy.  In fact, their goal is to shut down these industries replacing them with green technologies, which will never power our country, or any industrialized country for years to come.   To do so,  Socialists want to drive up the cost of carbon or nuclear based energy through increased taxes and regulations in order to make wind and solar power economically and artificially feasible.

Socialist President Obama told us in 2008 that his energy plan would require the cost of gas and utilities to sky rocket so that green technologies can become more economically feasible.   Until just recently, when he changed his tune as a result of political expediency, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu stated that the cost of gas in the US should go up to $8 - $10 a gallon, the same as in Europe.   We are moving in that direction as the cost of gas since Obama was elected has doubled.  Obama's Gestapo, the Environmental Protection Agency is doing everything possible to shut down the coal industry and coal fired electricity plants by imposing more impossible regulations.   The end result will be significantly higher utility costs.

Socialists are always saying that they represent the poor and the middle class.  Really??  Driving up the cost of energy will be devastating to the poor and the middle class that can least afford to pay higher prices for everything as a result of higher energy costs.  Of course, Socialists will then push for government subsidies for the poor and the middle class to pay for higher energy costs, even though the United States is facing bankruptcy.  This is another way for Socialists, feeding at the trough, to put more people on the dole to buy votes in order to stay in power.

The fact is that cheap energy is and has always been the key to economic growth and job creation.  We don't need any government subsidies for energy companies.   Just let the free market work as production will grow to meet demand, if allowed to do so.  The very Socialist notion of purposely driving up the cost of energy to support green technologies that are not economically feasible today is a job killer.   And, none of this is necessary.   The United States and Canada are sitting on enormous natural resources that could make our country completely energy independent within 20 years or less.

The Mid West in particular, that has traditionally had high unemployment, along with other parts of the country, have huge reserves of natural gas shale that could be safely tapped both for jobs and energy.  The Keystone Pipeline, rejected by Obama, should be approved immediately to bring Canadian oil into the United States rather than have it flow to China.   Clean coal must be part of the equation.   And, we must develop nuclear energy that has no carbon foot print at all.   Finally, research should continue on solar, wind, geothermal and bio fuels to make them economically feasible in the future.

We need to eliminate the Gestapo Environmental Protection Agency and reestablish it as the Environmental Solutions Agency.   A new ESA should be put in place to work with carbon and nuclear based energy industries to make them cleaner, safer and more available as cheap, clean energy.   No one wants dirty air or water in our country, as purported by Socialists and their radical environmental supporters.   We all want a clean environment; but we also want a robust economy and a higher standard of living.   If these radical characters are allowed to get their way, we will experience slow or no economic growth, structural unemployment for years to come and a lower standard of living for our people; the same as in Europe.   That is unacceptable.

We have to take back our country by sweeping Socialists at all levels of government, supported by radical environmentalists, including President Obama, out of office in 2012 and 2014.   Our country is at a turning point.   We are either going to go backwards into a European style Socialist nation, life style and lower standard of living.  Or, we can unleash the American economy and experience 5% or more growth each year.  We need to vote for prosperity by electing Conservatives, not more of the same Obama failed economic policies and trillion dollar deficits that are bankrupting our country.

We need more Americans on a pay check and fewer on Unemployment benefits, Food Stamps and Welfare.   The only way to get there is cheap energy, which will not happen as long as Obama and his pals are in government.  It is time to take back our country to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.   We can do it.  We must do it to restore economic growth and job creation again in America.
