Obama & Egypt - Another Iran In The Making

Socialist President Obama is an amateur when it comes to foreign policy just like Jimmy Carter. In fact, in many ways, Obama is Jimmy Carter II. Remember it was Carter's failed policy that resulted in the Ayatollahs taking over Iran and the American hostage crisis. We are seeing Obama's ineffectiveness and mismanagement related to Egypt and it is looking more and more like Iran II. Yes, Hosni Mubarak, the President/Dictator in charge of Egypt and his family probably do have to go; but that should not be done by the President through public pronouncements. Behind the scenes negotiations should be happening to allow Mubarak a face saving way to leave Egypt.

Of course, it is estimated that Mubarak is worth $70 Billion, much of which is stashed in secret bank accounts, which is no surprise since this is business as usual for most Arab rulers who live off the fat of their land. In addition, Mubarak owns homes all over the world so it is not like he doesn't have a place to go after leaving Egypt. Forget about Mubarak. While the next Egyptian government will no doubt attempt to recover some of the monies he as has stolen, the real issue is what comes next in Egypt.

Egypt is the largest Arab country in the Middle East with 80 million people. The US bought peace between Egypt and Israel by giving Egypt $50 Billion in the last 30 years a lot of which went right into Mubarak's bank accounts. It is what it is. Once Mubarak, our "friend" for a price leaves the scene, it is likely that the Muslim Brotherhood, a Terrorist organization will fill the void. The good news is that Egyptians are Sunni Arabs, rather than Shias, the Iranian variety and presumably less radical; however, the Muslim Brotherhood is tied to Al Queda, both haters of America and Israel. If the Muslim Brotherhood gains control of Egypt, which is likely to happen because of Obama's incompetence, there is no hope for democracy in Egypt and peace with Israel will fall apart. Israel then will be surrounded by Hezbollah Terrorists in Lebanon and the Syrians both funded by Iran. With a hostile Egypt on Israel's other border and in view of Iran's nuclear ambitions, Israel will be forced to deploy nuclear weapons to maintain the balance of power. This will make the Middle East even more volatile.

As such, rather than simply attempting to push Mubarak out of power, President Obama should be working with other more moderate Arab countries and Europeans to insure a gradual transition of power to moderates in Egypt, if there are any. This could mean more bribes, oh I mean foreign aid; but what choice do we have. More likely, President Obama will lose Egypt the same way Jimmy Carter lost Iran. We can see this one coming and it is not a pretty picture.

We need a grown up in the White House, not a community organizer fresh off a plane from Chicago. There is a lot to be said for experience. Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State is OK; but she is not the President. We need to elect a Conservative in 2012 who has been around the block a few times that supports free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a STRONG NATIONAL DEFENSE, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in America.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives in 2012 and 2014 who will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 98 years, our current or former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 beginning with making Obama a one term President. We can't tolerate Jimmy Carter II. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
