A Government Shut Down - Stop The Silly Games

The Republicans in the House of Representatives have passed a budget with a measly $61 Billion cut in expenses, which really is just symbolic. This amount is peanuts. President Obama and his Socialist supporters in Congress actually want no cut at all. The Socialist want trillions of dollars in deficit spending for years to come pushing our country toward bankruptcy. The budget passed by the House is now sitting with Senator Dirty Harry Reid in the Senate, the Majority leader. Reid of course tows the Socialist Party line and so there is a threat of a "government shut down" if agreement can't be reached between the House, Senate and President. Frankly, the cuts they are arguing about are so small that they are inconsequential; but it makes for good TV on the talk shows.

The Socialists are hoping to replay the drama between Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton when the government was shut down because budget agreement could not be reached. At the time, supposedly the Republicans were blamed for the shut down. So now the game is which party will be blamed if the government is shut down rather than responsible action to cut the deficit. What all seem to miss in this discussion is that many of us don't care if the government is shut down. We would actually prefer to see the government shut down. It is only those on the dole that worry about a government shut down. And, the Socialists, including the President, completely missed the results of the election in 2010. WE THE PEOPLE want the trillion dollar deficit spending, that is bankrupting our country, to stop.

It is time to stop all the games and eliminate redundant government departments, agencies and programs entirely. As a good down payment, there should be at least $500 billion in cuts to demonstrate that our elected representatives of both parties are serious and get the message. And while many conclude that this can only be done by tackling entitlements like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, we have yet to see one single department, agency or program eliminated. The budget for the Department of Education alone is $77 billion and that is one Department that should be on the chopping block.

The Socialists, including the President, will never stop the trillion deficit spending, which is an important reason we must sweep them all of office in 2012 and 2014 by electing Conservatives (not RINO's) that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real energy, education and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and jobs in our country. If these things don't happen, it is estimated that unemployment will remain high until 2016.

Most important, we must stop the silly games by electing Conservatives who will adhere to the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, public employee unions, Socialists in the last 98 years, our current or former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We have to take back our country to stop the silly games and get our fiscal house in order. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
