Ohio Election - Obama The Biggest Loser

In an off year election in Ohio, big Labor Unions used $30 million to defeat restrictions on Collective Bargaining for public employees, enacted by Republican Governor John Kasich and their Republican Legislature.   That was no surprise since the Unions got their cronies out to the polls to defeat Issue 2 on the ballot by 61% TO 39%.   Ironically, this will cause the lay off of public employees because Ohio is broke.   And, if local government tries to raise taxes to continue paying public employees 20 - 40% more than is typical in the private sector, Ohio will just continue losing jobs in the private sector, which has been happening for more than 30 years.   So the people of Ohio will be big losers from this election.

All will suffer in Ohio once again as Unions destroy jobs.   Union demands have pushed millions of manufacturing jobs overseas, including many that were in Ohio.   That is the reason big unions like SEIU and Teacher Unions focus on public employment because those jobs cannot be outsourced, but they can and will be eliminated because the money is just not there any more to pay exorbitant compensation and benefits.

Even Socialist President Franklin Roosevelt believed that collective bargaining was inconsistent with public employment.   It has led to corruption as public employee unions contribute to Socialist campaigns and as a pay off, Socialists in office agree to ridiculous levels of compensation and benefits.   The balloon has burst as nearly 18 million public sector employees in the US, at all levels of government, are feeding at the trough, bankrupting our country.   It has to stop.

However, the biggest loser in the Ohio election was Socialist President Obama for two reasons.   First, Obama's Union Pals had to spend $30 million to defeat Issue 2.   That is $30 million that they cannot donate to fund Obama's reelection campaign.   And, second, there was another initiative on the ballot that dealt with ObamaCare, Issue 3.   Even though this special election brought out all of Obama's Union PEEP's, 66% of the voters in Ohio voted to oppose ObamaCare.

Ohio is a bell weather state that Obama must win to be reelected.   The official unemployment rate in Ohio is 9.1%, which will now only get worse.   When all are counted, the unemployed, the under employed working part time that want full time work and those that have just given up looking for work altogether, the real unemployment rate probably exceeds 17%.   The vote on ObamaCare was actually a vote on Obama, not just his health care legislation and the people of Ohio voted HELL NO.

No Republican has been elected to the Presidency in over 100 years without winning the state of Ohio.   If this vote on ObamaCare is any indication, Obama will thankfully be a one term President.  At the same time, the voters of Virginia, in their off year election, elected a Republican Legislature for the first time in years to join their Republican Governor elected in 2010.   Obama won Virginia in 2008 and needs that state again to win reelection.   If the current trend is any indication, Obama is going to go Bye, Bye 12 months from now.   These trends are following what occurred in 2010 as Republicans gained seats at all levels of government.

We must take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by sweeping these Socialists, including President Obama, out of office.   We can do it.   We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.   The big unions won one battle in an off year election in Ohio, but we must win the war in the elections 2012 and 2014.   Our nation is at stake, more so than at any other time since World War II.   We have work to do to get our country back on track.
