Obama and High Unemployment

Socialist President Obama made a campaign stop in Wisconsin this week and told the audience that the American people should be happy that unemployment is only about 10% instead of 12%, or 15% that he claims would otherwise have occurred if the Socialist controlled Congress had not enacted his Trillion Dollar SwindleUS Plan, without even reading it. Remember, Obama promised us that unemployment would not go above 8% if his SwindleUS Plan was enacted into law. Obviously, the President either did not know what he was talking about, or he just LIED.

Of course, the Campaigner and Chief may not have realized that official unemployment in Racine, Wisconsin, where he was speaking, is actually at 14.8%. And that official unemployment in states like Michigan, Nevada and California is at about 15%, 14% and 13% respectively. Many other states also have unemployment above 10% and when all are counted, the under employed working part time and those that have just given up looking for work, the real unemployment rate probably exceeds 18%.

Unemployment among the under educated is at 15% or higher. And, some fields like Construction workers are in a Depression not a Recession. The most recent jobs reports shows claims for unemployment insurance going up. Since the US must grow by 100,000 new jobs a month just to deal with the kids entering the labor market each month, our country and the private sector in general are not growing jobs any where near what is needed to bring unemployment down. In fact, since Obama's SwindleUS Plan was enacted, the United States has lost 3,000,000 jobs; yet Obama and the other Socialists in office will claim that two or three million jobs have been "saved". Never before in American history has the notion of "saved" jobs been referenced related to unemployment. This is a bogus number that cannot be tracked.

The fact is that the SwindleUS Plan has been a miserable failure. Obama owns this high unemployment rate, plain and simple. Since very few in the Obama Administration, including the President, have ever worked in business, they just don't have a clue about job creation. The only way to grow jobs is through lower taxes, less regulation and incentives for the private sector. As Socialists, they just don't understand, or speak this language. Obama believes that government spending and Keynesian economics is the right road even though historically, this has always been a road to no where.

Obama is making matters even worse by his incompetent handling of the oil spill in the Gulf that is putting several hundred thousand people out of work. Just now, more than 70 days into the oil spill, Obama has agreed to allow other countries to send help related to the clean up effort. The Environmental Protection Agency, as managed by the Obama Administration, has also been interfering with clean up efforts as part of a grand scheme to enact Obama's CAP and TAX legislation. In addition, Obama is stopping oil drilling in the Gulf. Remember, these Socialists never let a good "crisis go to waste", which is the reason Obama has not moved quicker to deal with the oil spill. Why else would Obama wait 70 days to allow other countries to send assistance? It is just disgraceful.

High unemployment in the US and the lack of economic growth are just two more reasons we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget rather than trillions in deficit spending that is bankrupting our nation, term limits, real energy independence and health care reform, a strong national defense including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by Socialists Obama, Reid and Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must sweep these Socialist out of office in 2010 and 2012 to get our economy back on track. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
