Franklin Roosevelt - The Great Depression & Obama

Socialist President Franklin Roosevelt prolonged the Great Depression, which actually lasted 15 years, by implementing Keynesian economics and government deficit spending on the "New Deal". Many economists have now concluded that what could have been a four year downturn turned into 15 years of high unemployment and a "Raw Deal" for the American people. In fact, during Franklin Roosevelt's first eight years in office unemployment was 18% in 1935, 14% in 1936 and by 1938, it was back up to 20%. The stock market actually fell 50% between August 1937 and March 1938. Clearly, the New Deal was a complete failure just like Obama's SwindleUS Plan and other Socialist Schemes. In addition, Roosevelt raised taxes dramatically on the "rich" first to 79% and then to a 90% marginal tax rate. Roosevelt even proposed raising taxes to 99.9% on incomes over $100,000. Sound familiar?

Roosevelt did not cause the Great Depression; but his actions prolonged it; that's for sure. Yet as a history student and former teacher, I never learned these facts while earning my degrees in History and Political Science because the history books were written by left wing authors, who never understood Economics 101 and worshiped Franklin Roosevelt concluding that he single handedly saved free market capitalism. We know now that was the furthest thing from the truth. The truth is that World War II led to full employment once millions of men and women went off to war and our military industrial complex kicked in to end the Great Depression. Even so, Roosevelt left our nation deeply in debt. Again, sound familiar?

History always seems to repeat itself. Socialist President Obama is Roosevelt reincarnated. Roosevelt waged war on the private sector seeing American business as villains just like Obama. Roosevelt raised taxes substantially and enacted all kinds of regulations just like Obama in an attempt to control all aspects of our economy. Roosevelt spent billions in deficit spending, while Obama is spending Trillions in deficit spending. The end result then and now was job losses and a severe economic downturn. And, when the Supreme Court attempted to strike down aspects of the New Deal as unconstitutional, Roosevelt like a Communist Dictator attempted to pack the courts with his stooges. Fortunately, Roosevelt did not succeed.

The Obama Administration lives in a dream world. Never before has any administration cited numbers related to "creating or saving jobs" as a result of Obama's Trillion Dollar Deficit Spending SwindleUS Plan. Obama claims that he has saved 2.5 - 3.6 million jobs. However, there is no means of substantiating these numbers. It is all bogus. The reality is that there are more than 20 million Americans, either unemployed, under employed working part time who want full time work, and or who have just stopped looking for work. This is about 15% of our workforce. Clearly, President Obama is all about smoke and mirrors. As we say in Texas, Obama is all hat and nothing more. As each day passes, the American people can clearly see that Obama, who has never managed any business and has achieved little in his life, is just plain incompetent; just like Jimmy Carter.

In order to get our economy growing again, rather than follow the Roosevelt model, which failed during the Great Depression as is happening now under Obama, we must elect Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real energy iindependence and health care reform, a strong national defense including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values.

Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by Socialists Roosevelt, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must sweep these Socialists out of office in 2010 and 2012 to take back our country. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
