Socialist Senator Harry Reid of Nevada is up to his dirty tricks, as usual. Early Primary voting has begun in Nevada in advance of the June 8th Primary. Dirty Harry is already spending big dollars attacking front runner, Sue Lowden, the Republican Candidate for the US Senate. Lowden is 13 points ahead of Reid in the polls so naturally dirty politics and mud slinging is to be expected from Harry Reid, who is well known for this kind of shenanigans in Nevada. But, this one takes the cake. Socialist Operatives, no doubt directed by the Reid campaign, were planning on going to the polls wearing chicken suits presumably to mock an off the cuff remark made by Lowden lamenting simpler times when ranchers and farmers in Nevada used to barter for goods and services, including medical care. Lowden remarked that in the old days, people just paid for medical services with a chicken.
Obviously, anyone with a brain realizes that Lowden was not proposing this remedy as a solution to real health care reform. In fact, Lowden advocates REPEAL AND REPLACE of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi Healthscare Plan suggesting instead very specific, well thought out health care reform solutions that are on her web site.
But if Obama, Reid and Pelosi continue to bankrupt our country, making our dollar worthless, we may very well be back to the days of bartering, so doctors may be glad to get a chicken, or anything else of value in return for their services. Ha Ha! In any case, election officials in Nevada have put a stop to this silly gimmick. If they had not, I am sure that Reid opponents, which make up about 70% of Nevadans, would have gone to the polls with Reid's head on a stick to express our displeasure with Senator Dirty Harry Reid.
In the mean time, while Harry Reid and his friends are playing chicken games, official unemployment in Nevada rose to 13.4%, the highest level in state history. And, if all are counted, the unemployment rate in Nevada is probably above 18%, the second highest in the country, after Michigan. Further, Nevada has the highest foreclosure rate in the country. Though the economy may be coming back in some locations, Nevada is in a DEPRESSION thanks to Obama, Reid and Pelosi. Don't forget Obama scolded businesses for holding conventions in Nevada, which cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of jobs as conferences were cancelled. Reid was missing in action when Obama killed the state of Nevada. Even the Democrat Mayor of Las Vegas went ballistic over Obama's remarks; but not Harry.
Senator Dirty Harry Reid opposes the diversification of Nevada's economy, which would come if Reid would allow Yucca Mountain to open as the national nuclear repository. Yucca is about a hundred miles from Las Vegas, in the middle of the desert and it would be the perfect site for a nuclear reprocessing industry, much as happens in countries like France. If opened Yucca would result in thousands of jobs for Nevada. After the federal government invested $2 Billion to build Yucca, Harry Reid vetoed its opening. Thanks alot Harry. Tell it to the people who lost their jobs and their homes.
In November, it will be time for the people of Nevada to veto Harry Reid as we end his political career and send Reid back to Searchlight, that hell hole in the middle of the desert, about 50 miles South of Las Vegas. Oh wait a minute, Harry Reid lives in an apartment at the Ritz Carlton, a luxury hotel in Washington DC. How does someone earning $174,000 a year afford the Ritz? That is the $120,000 question, since I suspect an apartment at the Ritz in Washington DC must cost that much a year, or more. It might be possible because the Reid family earns millions of dollars as paid lobbyists. It is time for Harry Reid and his Socialist supporters to stop their chicken games and accept responsibility for the unemployment and foreclosures in Nevada. Don't forget Reid was a big supporter of the sub prime mortgages and corrupt Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that caused the financial meltdown.
We have to take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by throwing the Socialists, like Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, out of office and electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense, real energy independence and health care reform, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by our current Socialist President, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We have to send Senator Dirty Harry Reid back to Searchlight, or his pent house at the Ritz and make Obama a one term President. We can do it. We will do it for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
P.S. Only a few months to the election in November. We are counting the days.
