Illegal Immigration & Mexico

Socialist President Obama recently welcomed Mexican President Felipe Calderon to the White House for a state visit. During a press conference both Presidents condemned the state of Arizona for passing a law designed to identify illegal aliens, as part of normal law enforcement procedures, in accordance with federal law. The Arizona law specifically prohibits "racial profiling". Obama called Arizona's new law a "misdirected effort".

The fact of the matter is that Obama has failed to secure our borders by sending in the national guard that is being requested by Arizona's elected officials. The border is now a battle zone because of drug smuggling. And, there continues to be a flood of illegal aliens entering our country, which is bankrupting states like California and Arizona that incur billions in annual medical, education, prison and criminal cost as a result of the influx of illegal aliens.

We do need immigration reform. There should be a guest worker program that allows Mexicans to enter our country to work; but in no way gives them any advantage related to becoming an American citizen. Our procedures to gain citizenship should be the same for all based on strict rules that are applied fairly. Those who violate our laws should not be rewarded with citizenship through amnesty. And, we need to amend our Constitution to state that children born in the United States are only citizens of the United States if their parents are citizens. The US is probably the only country in the world, where someone can come across our border illegally, and have a baby who is automatically an American citizen. That is ridiculous.

Mexico is clearly the problem. Aside from the drug wars going on in Mexico and incredible corruption, poverty in Mexico exists because a very small number of families control the wealth of Mexico. It is really that simple. The US has served as a safety valve for Mexico for years. Mexico's poor come to the US for work because they can find none in Mexico. And, since these illegal aliens then send a billion or more dollars back to Mexico each year, illegal aliens are a key source of income for the people of Mexico. As such, the Mexican government has absolutely no incentive to control the border. In fact, some time ago, the Mexican government actually printed booklets telling Mexicans how to enter the US and cross our border illegally. This has got to stop.

Of course, Socialist President Obama will do nothing to stop illegal immigration because the Socialist Party supports amnesty to give these people citizenship in exchange for their votes. Well dah! A country that cannot control its borders will not be a country for long. As such, we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives that support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, term limits, a strong national defense including securing our borders, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. We must elect Conservatives that support the Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by our current Socialist President, former Presidents, Congresses or the Courts. We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012. We must gain control of our borders. We can do it. We must do it for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
