New York Bomb Scare - Another Wake Up Call

The recent bomb scare at Times Square in New York City should serve as another wake up call concerning Terrorism in the United States. Fortunately, a street vendor warned police of the suspicious SUV before the car bomb could be detonated so a tragedy was prevented, this time. But, it is only a matter of time before Terrorists succeed in attacking soft targets to cause death, destruction and havoc in our economy. The Obama Administration just doesn't get it. The threat of Terrorism and Terrorists are real. Whether home grown fanatics, or Al Queda Terrorists, federal and state governments must recognize the threat and act accordingly.

Hopefully, various government agencies and law enforcement are ignoring Obama's downplaying of the threat from Islamic extremists, who are waging jihad (Holy War) against the West and more moderate Islamic countries. We should take them at their word. These Islamic Extremists, who want to establish a caliphate in the Middle East, hate Western values and the freedoms that we enjoy. They are determined to use jihad to establish fundamental Islam throughout the world, even if it means the murder of innocent people. These are their words and actions and they must be taken seriously.

This means that we must secure our borders not just to prevent illegal aliens from Mexico from entering the United States, which causes us a severe financial burden; but also to keep Terrorists from entering our country. Securing the border is a matter of national security. We need to build high walls and post the army at our Southern border to defend our country. This is just common sense not racial profiling.

The United States faces danger from a nuclear armed Iran that supports Terrorists around the world. Unfortunately, Socialist President Obama, who needs to be loved around the world, rather than respected, is a clear and present danger to our country. Obama is just not tough enough to defend our country and protect our national security. We need to elect Conservatives in 2010 and 2012 that support limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution,as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by our current Socialist President, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. And, we must elect a new President who understand the Terrorist threat to properly safe guard our country. We can do it. We must do it for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
