Socialist California - No Need To Look To Greece

California is run by Socialist politicians in Sacramento, owned lock, stock and barrel by public employee unions, feeding at the trough.  These characters are bankrupting the state using the sale of junk bonds to finance huge multi-billion dollar annual deficits.   Rather than cut exorbitant entitlements, compensation, benefits and pensions for public employee union members, even though California already has the highest taxes in the country, these Socialists have put four propositions on the upcoming ballot for a vote on November 6 that will raise taxes on the "rich" and companies of all sizes by billions of dollars.   These ballot propositions are all job killers and should be opposed. 

Two time Governor Moon Beam Jerry Brown is running radio ads in favor of these tax increases by saying that if the "rich" just pay a little more in California, life will be wonderful.  Sound familiar, it is the same hog wash coming from Socialist President Obama.  And of course, Socialists are also running commercials saying that if these taxes are not increased, there will be Armageddon for the state's public schools and other public services.   It is all a bunch of baloney. 

The reality is that if Obama tax increases are allowed to become law and California raises taxes as well, the "rich" in California will end up paying nearly 60% of their income in various taxes and this includes many small businesses that file as individuals not as corporations.   When is enough enough.  The answer for Socialists is never.

However, tax increases are always counter productive.   The "rich" and many companies will vote with their feet the same way this Blogger did when we moved to Nevada, 13 years ago, because Nevada has no personal or corporate income tax.   California will actually generate less tax revenues if these new taxes become law, the same as is happening in countries like France that has a 10% unemployment rate.  Their "rich" citizens are leaving that country, which is exactly what will happen in California.   We don't need to look at Greece to see the end result of Socialist government.  All we need to do is look at what is happening in California.   By the way, Socialist President Obama wants to do to the United States what Socialists have done to California. 

We can't let that happen.   We must make Obama a one term President by electing Mitt Romney, the next President of the United States and gain Republican control of both Houses of Congress to restore respect for our country around the world, economic growth and job creation again in America.   We can't let Obama do to the United States what Socialists have done to California; lousy schools, high taxes, high cost of living and high unemployment etc. etc.

While California is lost, we need to take back our country in 2012 and 2014 by sweeping these Socialist out of office.   We can do it.   We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.  Socialist California is a mess.  We can't let Obama do to the United States what his Socialist pals have done to California.  The golden state is golden no more.
