Governor Rick Perry's Day Of Prayer

Governor Rick Perry of Texas called for a Day of Prayer for our nation and 30,000 people showed up in Houston.   Of course, the Socialists around the country were critical accusing Perry of mixing church and state even though there was no state money involved in this event.   The fact that a sitting Governor, of one of the largest states in the nation, would dare to call for and participate in a Christian day of prayer was somehow evil to Godless Socialists.  Go figure.   Governor Perry is an evangelical Christian who has ever right to practice his Christian faith in public.

And, one thing is for sure, we need to bring Americans together to pray for our country as we face fiscal mismanagement, bankruptcy and moral corrosion.  The threat we face from within is as great as any foreign threat we have ever faced in our history.  Clearly, many of our elected representatives are in business to benefit themselves rather than our country.  Our National Debt is nearing $15 trillion.   The US National Debt is now equal to a dangerous and unthinkable 100% of our Gross Domestic Product.   Remember, it is not just about paying the mounting interest on the Debt, at some point we have to pay back the principal, which is becoming next to impossible.  And, the Congress just gave incompetent, Socialist President Obama another $2.4 trillion that he will add to the National Debt in the next 18 months.   We face $50 trillion in unfunded liabilities to deal with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and federal pensions.

Though the House of Representatives enacted the Ryan budget, which would have cut spending by about $6 trillion over the next ten years and would have begun to put our fiscal house in order, the Socialist in the Senate led by Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, that has not passed a budget in more than 800 days, would not even allow the Ryan budget to come up for a vote.   And, had the Senate approved the Ryan budget anyway,  President Obama would most certainly have vetoed this common sense budget because it would have denied Obama's PEEP's their goodies.  As such, there is no plan in place to deal with the current economic and fiscal mess caused by Obama's failed policies.

The United States Credit Rating has been downgraded for the first time in American history.   That fact will always be Obama's legacy.  We have 25 million Americans either unemployed, underemployed working part time that want full time work, or who have just given up looking for work altogether.   There are 43 million Americans on Food Stamps.   Millions have lost their homes to foreclosure as real estate markets continue to decline.  Millions of Americans are on Welfare and Medicaid.  Our Southern border is not secure allowing drugs, Terrorists and illegal aliens to enter our country.  Our public school stink even though we spend more on education than any other industrialized country in the world.  Many of our roads, bridges, water and sewer systems and airports are antiquated and badly in need of repair, or replacement.  This Blogger is not a prude; but there is obvious moral corrosion in our country as the left wing media often glamorizes, or somehow rationalizes dishonesty, murder, violence and sexual perversion and infidelity.   We have clearly lost our way when many cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

Thank you Governor Perry for calling for a day of prayer.  God only knows that the United States is badly in need of prayer to get our nation back on track.  In doing so, Perry stood up to criticism from Socialists and the left wing media for bringing our people together to pray for our nation.   Governor Perry has shown leadership in so many ways in Texas that demonstrates that we should make him President Perry in 2012.   Our prayers will be with Governor Perry once he announces that he is running for the Presidency.   Let us hope that Governor Perry's announcement comes soon.  Our nation badly needs Governor Perry's moral leadership now more than to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
