Illinois Raising Taxes - A Huge Mistake

Rather than cutting deficit spending, the Socialists in Illinois plan to raise taxes, which is a huge mistake. If higher taxes and more regulation were the answer to deficit spending, California would be booming, instead of a being a financial basket case. Illinois is going to implement a huge tax increase to deal with its budget deficit; but all of this will backfire as usual. The plan is to raise the personal income tax by 66% and the corporate income tax by 45% for the next four years. Once raised, these tax increases will be permanent and everyone knows it, so decisions will be based on that premise. This will do two things. The freezing whether in Illinois will now cause individuals who are working in Illinois, or facing retirement to move to the sun belt, which has been happening for years anyway. Why should anyone pay 5% on personal income, when they can move to Florida, Texas, or Nevada and pay no personal state income tax at all. This will help further depress housing prices in Illinois, which will impact property tax revenues going to the state.

And then, companies that might have invested in Illinois will now build new operations, or plants in other lower tax states and or countries. Well dah! Higher taxes, when combined with big unions that are prevalent in Illinois, will now push companies over the edge as they move to sunbelt states with low taxes and right to work laws and or out of the United States entirely. The Socialists in Illinois, other states and the United States just don't get it. Raising taxes and adding more regulations is what is destroying jobs in the United States. Illinois Socialists believe that this huge tax increase will net them an additional $6.8 Billion a year. That may be true in the short run; but what will happen in the long run is that the state will generate even less tax revenue than is occurring now. As Forest Gump always said, "Stupid is as stupid does!"

People and Companies vote with their feet, which has been happening for the last 30 years in the United States as many Blue states, run by Socialists have lost population and business and Red states have gained them. So too will Illinois further suffer this fate. Socialists in Illinois did not get the message from the 2010 election as Barack Obama's Senate seat actually went to a Republican committed to lower taxes and less regulation. The fact is that the people of Illinois should rise up against their elected representatives to stop this tax increase. There should be protest in the streets and a barrage of phone calls and e-mails to help Socialists see the light and/or feel the heat. I know, I know, we are supposed to be toning down our rhetoric in light of the Arizona tragedy; but it is still OK to say HELL NO to Socialist Schemes. If the people of Illinois don't pressure their elected representatives to stop these taxes increases, they will deserve the job losses that are surely coming.

WE THE PEOPLE of the United States must stand up and say HELL NO to higher taxes and more regulations by electing Conservatives in 2012 and 2014 to sweep these Socialists out of office at both the state and federal levels. We must elect Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, real education, energy and health care reform, a strong national defense, including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values that are the foundation of our nation. This is the platform supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and jobs in our country.

Most
important, we must elect Conservatives that will adhere to the Constitution as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists in the last 98 years, our current, or former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedom, our nation and way of life for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
