9/11 - A Day That Changed The World

December 7, 1941, the day the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, is known as the Day of Infamy as proclaimed by President Franklin Roosevelt. 9/11, nine years ago, the day Islamic Terrorists attacked the United States in New York City and Washington DC is as well A Day That Changed The World. When those buildings at the World Trade Center came down, and those Terrorists flew that plane into the Pentagon, it changed America and the world forever. And, if not for the bravery of Americans on the plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field, who fought back and said HELL NO, it is likely that a third plane would have crashed into the Capitol Building, or the White House. We are so fortunate that it was President Bush who won the election in 2000 rather than Al Gore who may not have had the resolve to recognize and fight the Islamic Terrorists who declared war on the United States because traditionally Socialists are weak on defense.

All of us remember where we were on that horrible day in September. Just the day before, on September 10th, I was at a business meeting across the Hudson River in New Jersey looking back at the World Trade Center Towers and the beautiful skyline of New York City. We actually were supposed to have a business meeting in New York City just a block away from the Towers on Tuesday, September 11th at 9:00 am. That meeting was cancelled on Monday and changed to Wednesday, September 12th, so rather than stay in the city, we went out to our office in Connecticutt planning to come back into the city on the 12th.

If that change had not occurred, I would have been in New York City at the precise time of the attack just a block away. Of course, the business meeting on Wednesday never happened. Instead at the precise moment those planes struck the World Trade Center, I was on the phone talking with our business contact in New York City who was watching the towers come down from his office window. It is a conversation, I will never forget for the rest of my life. Just as 9/11 is an event we must never forget as a nation.

Terrorism remains a threat still today. And, while we are not at war with Islam, we are at war with Islamic Fascist Terrorists who are a threat to our very way of life. Socialist President Obama refuses to fully recognize that threat and call them what they are are radical, Islamic Terrorists. They are what they are and it cannot be denied. Further, if and when we capture these Terrorists, even if Islamic Americans who attack our country and are therefore guilty of treason, they are enemy combatants that should be tried in military tribunals not federal courts as advocated by President Obama. What planet does this President live on? We are at war with these Islamic Fascist Terrorists. To call it anything else after 9/11 is naive and even dangerous.

Socialist President Obama has proven on so many issues that he is not prepared to be the Commander and Chief, which is another reason we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. This is the winning platform that is supported by the majority of the American people and the only way to restore economic growth and job creation in America.

Most important, we must sweep these weak on defense Socialists out of office by electing Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by the left wing media, Socialists Obama, Reid, Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must take back our country to insure our national security. We can do it. We will do it to preserve our freedoms, our nation and way of life and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
