Senator John McCain In Arizona - Time To Go

Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona is running for reelection to the US Senate once again. McCain is being challenged by JD Hayworth, a former Congressman and unquestionable Conservative in the Republican primary. I think it is time for John McCain to step aside. Though we all respect McCain for his military service to our country, he ran a very poor Presidential campaign that cost the Republican Party and the nation the Presidency. Though I donated money to the McCain Presidential campaign and voted for him, it was because we had no choice; not because I thought he was the best person for the job. The fact is, it was McCain or Socialist evil, so I chose McCain. However, McCain is a convenient Conservative who has "reached across the aisle" on immigration reform and campaign finance reform, among other issues during his career, supporting legislation that was often not the Conservative position. McCain is too willing to compromise with the Socialists in Congress, which is unacceptable to real Conservatives.

In addition, as someone who supports term limits for all federal and state politicians, of both parties, John McCain has been in office for too long. We need citizen politicians who have worked in the real world, not just married well. That is not possible when elected officials have been in the same office for 30 or more years. Two six year terms in the Senate (12 years) should be the limit. John McCain has served many more than two terms. It is time for fresh ideas and the election of real Conservatives not convenient Conservatives, who profess orthodoxy during the primaries; but then forget about it once elected. That is John McCain's profile.

JD Hayworth is starting to pull away in the polls. Hayworth has a real chance of defeating McCain. Of course, the Republican establishment, including Sarah Palin, is supporting McCain out of loyalty to him; but I think it is time for a change. Google JD Hayworth, go on his web site and donate monies to support JD Hayworth. We need new blood in Washington that will fight for Conservative ideals and elected officials that we know will support limited government, lower taxes and regulations, a balanced budget, a strong national defense, term limits, the right to bear arms, real energy independence, the sanctity of life and family value. There can be no compromise on these issues. It is time for John McCain to go because he is a big government Republican. We must take back our country in 2010 and 2012. We can do it. We must do it.
