Members Of Congress - Tax Returns

Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, the Senate Majority leader, went off again with one of his goofy, outlandish statements.  Reid has accused Governor Mitt Romney of not paying taxes for the past decade based on some "credible source" that shall go unnamed.  Forget about the fact that Romney has already released his 2010 and preliminary 2011 tax returns showing not only millions of dollars paid in taxes; but even more donated to charities.   Always remember, that Socialists like Obama, Reid and Pelosi, among many others, will lie, cheat, or steal to remain in office feeding at the trough.  It is becoming particularly bad this election season because there is a good likelihood that Mitt Romney will be elected the next President of the United States and Republicans may very well gain control of both Houses of Congress.   As such, Socialists are now acting out of desperation.

This particular falsehood spread by Reid, with no real evidence, is really funny since Members of Congress will not release their tax returns.  This morning, this Blogger called Reid's office in Washington asking when I could get copies of Reid's tax returns.   Reid's minion hung up on me.  In fact, a watch dog organization recently called on all Members of Congress to release their tax returns.  Only 17 out of 535 did so and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were not among them.   To be fair however, most Republicans refused to release their tax returns, as well.   This Blogger has asked the question many times, how is it that Members of Congress, earning $174,000 a year, while being required to maintain two homes, somehow all end up as millionaires after serving years in office.   

Since Members of Congress control $10 Billion a day in spending of our money, $4 Billion of which Obama is borrowing every day and adding it to our National Debt, we need to know how Members of Congress make their money.   Senator Dirty Harry Reid is believed to have participated in shady real estate deals in Nevada that made him a millionaire.  In addition, Reid's family members are paid Washington lobbyists, earning millions of dollars each year, lobbying none other than Senator Reid.  This may be how Reid can afford to live at the Ritz Carlton in Washington DC.   We won't know until Reid releases his tax returns, will we. 

Wealthy, Former Socialist Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who has also called on Mitt Romney to release 10 years of his tax returns, will not release any of her tax returns.   When questioned about it, Pelosi stated that she is not running for the Presidency.  Oh really!   The Speaker of the House is first in line after the Vice President in the event something happens to both the President and Vice President.   Since Pelosi is working hard to regain Socialist control of the House of Representatives, which would make her Speaker once again, she is most certainly running for Presidency.   And, Pelosi hands are not clean.   The Pelosi's own a pose restaurant in the wine country in Napa, California among many other investments.   Is it coincidence that Nancy Pelosi took $50 million of Obama's SwindleUS money to improve track for a wine train in Napa, a private business.   Could it be that Nancy Pelosi is an investor in that wine train.   We will never know; unless Pelosi releases her tax returns; but it certainly looks suspicious. 

Look, until just recently Members of Congress could not be prosecuted for insider trading.   Martha Stewart went to jail for insider trading because somehow she gained $4,000 as a result of insider trading.  And, then there were the "Friends of Angelo" Misulo, the CEO of Countrywide Mortgage that provided sweet heart deal in low interest mortgages to Senators like Socialist Chris Dodd and others while he was Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.   And now, Socialist Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, running for the US Senate in Nevada, is under an Ethics investigation because she pushed through legislation to support a clinic in Las Vegas that benefited her doctor husband to the tune of millions of dollars.   Shouldn't we see not only Shelley Berkley's tax return; but also her husband's if they file separately.   We are dealing with crooks. 

Why on earth aren't these people in jail, rather than in Congress.  It is no surprise that Congress has such a low approval rating among the American people because the scandals just keep coming, including the latest GSA scam, the agency that spent millions of dollars on lavish conferences.  Ironically, the General Services Administration is supposed to be the government's watch dog agency.  Talk about the fox guarding the hen house.     

We need complete transparency related to all elected officials at all levels of government.   Members of Congress should be required to post their tax returns on the Internet, blacking out Social Security numbers, for all to see.  This really is a non partisan issue.  In addition, we need a Constitutional Amendment to require Congressional Term Limits.  Any Member of Congress, serving 30 or more years in office, is a sure road to corruption and graft.  WE THE PEOPLE really do need to put on our hip boots to drain the swamp in Washington DC and many state capitols.  

Let's start with Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, one of the biggest crooks in Congress; though there are many others, perhaps even worse, that have to go too.    We have to take back our country to prevent the bankruptcy of the United States.   Our country is at a tipping point.  Our only hope is electing Mitt Romney the next President of the United States and gaining complete Republican control of Congress.   But beware, this is the Republican Party's last chance to get it right.  We are not about to tolerate crooks in either political party.  That ship has sailed with the establishment of the Tea Party Movement.  We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any more.
