The Supreme Court - ELECTIONS MATTER

Socialist President Obama has nominated his second left wing radical to the US Supreme Court, the current Solicitor General Elena Kagan. It should be no surprise that Obama would nominate other Socialists who toe the party line. This is just another indication that ELECTIONS MATTER. Kagan has been a Socialist political operative for years going all the way back to the Clinton Administration. Obama first met Kagan while he was a left wing professor at the University of Chicago so they are teaching buddies. Kagan went on the become Dean at the Harvard Law School where she attempted to prohibit military recruiting on campus because of the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell Policy. In fact, she took her case all the way to the Supreme Court and lost by a 9 - 0 vote. Even the left wing judges on the Supreme Court denied her the right to prohibit military recruitment on Harvard's campus.

The Senate is going through the typical question and answer process in order to confirm Kagan to this life time appointment. Republicans in the Senate should filibuster to stop the Kagan appointment, the same way Socialists have filibustered to stop Conservative appointments; but that is not likely to happen because there are RINO's, who are Republicans in name only, serving in the US Senate who will vote for Kagan's appointment. This really is a litmus test for Republicans.

No real Republican should ever vote to confirm a left wing Socialist to any court in this land, no matter what their credentials, because these Socialists will not abide by the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers. Socialists make law from the bench based on their left wing ideology that has been extremely damaging to the United States for years. As such, they are a clear and present danger to our nation. Any Republican who votes to confirm a Socialist to the court should be challenged in primary elections because they are not Conservative Republicans; but that is another story.

When Kagan is confirmed, she will be the youngest member on the Court, which means that Kagan will be there for years exposing her Socialist views designed to grow government and limit our freedoms. Just this week, the Conservatives appointed by Republican Presidents on the Supreme Court upheld the right to bear arms, in accordance with the Second Amendment to the Constitution, by a narrow 5 - 4 vote. Of course, the left wing judges appointed by Socialist Presidents all voted against the right to bear arms even though this right is clearly stated in the Constitution. This is another reason we must make Obama a one term President. We cannot allow Obama any more opportunities to appoint Socialist Supreme Court judges that will ignore the Constitution and act to expand the federal government and limit our freedoms.

Though I am not yet a gun owner, I will defend to my dying breath the right to bear arms because of the lessons of history. Our Founding Fathers included the Second Amendment in the US Constitution not because they wanted to protect hunting rights; but because they knew that the only way ultimately to defend against a tyrannical government was for the citizenry to own guns that could be used in the event government acted to enslave our people. Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the Declaration of Independence and was our third President defended the right to bear arms as a defense against tyranny. Don't forget, the Founding Fathers fought a revolution to end tyranny. They had first hand experience with the need to own guns.

It is no coincidence that one of the first things done by both the NAZI's and the Communists, when they came to power, was to prohibit personal gun ownership. President Obama and the Socialists that control Congress argue that gun controls are needed to prevent criminals from owning guns. The fact is that criminals will always find ways to get guns. Gun control laws impact law abiding citizens, not criminals. Socialists do not want our citizenry to own guns because they fear an uprising against their Socialist Schemes. That is the reality of this debate.

Appointments to the US Supreme Court are another reason we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, term limits, a strong national defense including securing our border and fighting Terrorism, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by Socialists Obama, Reid and Pelosi, former Presidents, Congresses, or the Courts. We must sweep Obama and the other Socialists out of office in 2010 and 2012 to prevent the appointment of more left wing Supreme Court judges. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
