The King Of Pork Is Dead

Socialist Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia recently died at the age of 92. Byrd was first elected to Congress in 1952 and spent more than 50 years in the US Senate. While Ted Kennedy was known as the "Lion of the Senate" for his hot air oratory, Byrd was known as the "King of Pork" for bringing billions of dollars in pork barrel spending back to his home state of tiny West Virginia. Robert Byrd consistently brought home the bacon at tax payer expense. In fact, Byrd brought home $1.75 for every $1.00 paid in by West Virginia tax payers; so we all paid for the 50 monuments to Bryd in his home state. Instead of seeing his efforts as disgraceful, Byrd wore the title "King of Pork" as a badge of honor. Robert Byrd is the poster child for term limits since he used his position, for more than 50 years, to sell his vote in corrupt back room deals to buy votes in West Virginia to stay in office. This is all despicable and what is wrong with our government and political system.

Robert Byrd was originally a member of the Ku Klux Clan, which he later disavowed. This was the case because in the 100 years after the Civil War, it was the Democrat Party in the South that subjugated African Americans by passing Jim Crow laws that limited their rights. Remember, it was Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, that freed the slaves. Byrd was for many years a racist until he along with other Southern Democrats figured out that the key to their tenure in office was making African Americans dependent on the government through entitlement programs to gain their votes. Once this occurred, Robert Byrd became a card carrying Socialist along with many other Democrats throughout the nation. Byrd argued in support of the Constitution related to asserting Congressional rights whenever usurped by the Executive branch of the government; but otherwise Byrd participated in and voted for all the Socialist Schemes enacted in the last 50 years that have been an assault on our freedoms.

Robert Byrd had been ill for years and should have retired years ago; but as long as he could be wheeled in by Majority Leader Socialist Senator Dirty Harry Reid of Nevada, Byrd was brought in to vote for Socialist Schemes. Clearly, Robert Byrd is the best argument for term limits. It is absolutely ridiculous that a member of Congress would serve for more than 50 years and probably be in diapers before dying in office at 92 years old. And, this would be true regardless of political party. Our Founding Father always intended that we have citizen politicians, not professional politicians for life, to avoid the corruption that we see today. The Senate should be limited to two six year terms. The House of Representatives should be limited to 6 two year terms. In order words, 12 years in Congress is more than enough and should be the limit that any one can serve in either House of Congress.

We have to take back our country in 2010 and 2012 by electing Conservatives who support free market capitalism, limited government, lower taxes and less regulation, a balanced budget, TERM LIMITS, a strong national defense including securing our borders and fighting Terrorism, real energy independence and health care reform, the right to bear arms, the sanctity of life and family values. Most important, we must elect Conservatives who support the Constitution, as written by our Founding Fathers, not as contrived by Socialists Obama, Reid and Pelosi, or former Presidents, Congresses, or the Counts. Corrupt Politicians like Robert Byrd are the reason we must take back our country in 2010 and 2012. We can do it. We must do it to preserve our freedoms and for the sake of our children and grandchildren. This King of Pork is dead; but there are many other Socialists in Congress who also fit the description. We must sweep all of these corrupt Socialists out of office in 2010 and 2012 to take back our country.
