Why is it that left wing liberals and otherwise Socialists can't deal with the facts. Your hero Franklin Roosevelt prolonged the Great Depression with his Socialist Schemes. As a former student and teacher of American History and Government, I was never taught by my liberal professors that umemployment throughout the 30's never went below 12% and was often as high as 20%. It was only World War II that brought us back to a full employment economy as 2 million men went off the war. Nothing Roosevelt did during the New Deal caused economic growth or job creation because Socialism where ever and when ever it has been tried in the world has always resulted in misery, poverty and a loss of freedom and in some cases even murder.

President Obama is a classic Socialist attempting to transform our nation into a European style Socialist country practicing redistrution of income in the name of "social justice". In the end, we will all be poorer for it even the poor. Free market capitalism, with all its boom and bust cycles is the only way to restore economic growth and job creation again in America unless of course, the real goal is to have 67 million Americans, a record number, on the dole one way or another, to buy votes and win Socialist elections. Cards talk and numbers don't lie. Obama has spent over a trillion dollars trying create jobs. How is that working for the 25 million Americans that are either unemployed, under employed working part time or who have just dropped out of the job market altogher. Obama is incompetent; Jimmy Carter II and maybe worse.

Specific to the Catholic Church fiasco, this is about First Amendment rights not access to contraception, which is readily available either free of charge from Planned Parenthood, the abortion mill in the neighborhood of for peanuts at any drug store. God forbid anyone should have to pay for anything in this country. OBAMA IS BANKRUPTING OUR COUNTRY. Past Republican President including Bush II contributed to the National Debt, as well, but not at the rate Obama is destroying our nation. Must we experience complete financial collapse as is happening in Socialist countries in Europe before left wing liberals, Socialists and Communists in our country realize that we cannot continue spending money we don't have. Further, if all assets of the so called "rich" were confiscated, which I am sure is a Socialist goal, it would still be impossible to cover the Trillion in Deficit Spending in the Obama trajectory. I don’t get it, birth control wasn’t a big deal in America 20 years ago… why is it now?

There’s been a backlash by conservatives, some religious, some not. Progress is made in this country by taking 2 steps forward, and then forced 1 step back. It amazes me that the religious groups think it is immoral to use birth control and that these Republicans, who are supposed to be about personal liberty, think that this is ok! Women have the right to CHOOSE whether they want to start a family or not. Every time I hear one of the Repubs speak, I realize how much I dislike them (except RP)

The President arrived at a solution that satisfied all direct parties to the controversy. It is a compromise (if you even want to call it that) that gives up nothing—women will still be able to make their own decisions on birth control without having to run it past a bureaucrat, politician, or church official. It’s about choice and women are still the ones who get to make that choice. The GOP would like to take that choice away from women. President Obama, to his credit, didn’t let them.

I have lived under 13 U.S. presidents, and I can say without hesitation that George W. Bush is the worst president of my lifetime, and he may well be the worst ever. One would have to go all the way back to James Buchanan to find a president of equal incompetence.

Show me anywhere in the world where Obama is a Marxist. “There is none”

#2 The debt of the state of Texas is out of control. According to usdebtclock.org, the debt to GDP ratio in Texas is 22.9% and the debt per citizen is $10,645. In California (a total financial basket case), the debt to GDP ratio is just 18.7% and the debt per citizen is only $9932. If Rick Perry runs for president these are numbers he will want to keep well hidden.

#3 The total debt of the Texas government has more than doubled since Rick Perry became governor. So what would the U.S. national debt look like after four (or eight) years of Rick Perry?

#4 Rick Perry has spearheaded the effort to lease roads in Texas to foreign companies, to turn roads that are already free to drive on into toll roads, and to develop the Trans-Texas Corridor which would be part of the planned NAFTA superhighway system. If you really do deep research on this whole Trans-Texas Corridor nonsense you will see why no American should ever cast a single vote for Rick Perry.

#5 Rick Perry claims that he has a “track record” of not raising taxes. That is a false claim. Rick Perry has repeatedly raised taxes and fees while he has been governor. Today, Texans are faced with significantly higher taxes and fees than they were before Rick Perry was elected.

#6 Even with the oil boom in Texas, 23 states have a lower unemployment rate than Texas does.

#7 Back in 1988, Rick Perry supported Al Gore for president. In fact, Rick Perry actually served as Al Gore’s campaign chairman in the state of Texas that year.

#8 Between December 2007 and April 2011, weekly wages in the U.S. increased by about 5 percent. In the state of Texas they increased by just 0.6% over that same time period.

#9 Texas now has one of the worst education systems in the nation. The following is from an opinion piece that was actually authored by Barbara Bush earlier this year….

• We rank 36th in the nation in high school graduation rates. An estimated 3.8 million Texans do not have a high school diploma.

• We rank 49th in verbal SAT scores, 47th in literacy and 46th in average math SAT scores.

You know I can't speak to your case in the US, but I am in Canada. Last week my 3 year old granddaughter was in a car crash in a remote area of BC. She was taken by ambulance to as mall town with a small hospital with limited emergency capabilities. They could not handle the amount of trauma there and a helicopter was on the way as soon as the ambulance arrived & they determined her condition was critical. She was stabilzed and flown 2 hours to Childrens Hospital in Vancouver where an 18 member trauma team was waiting. Her parents were taken to a private room to be counciled by a social worker who interfaced with the trauma team. They did some plastic surgery on her face to re attach her bottom lip while she was on a ventilator & did an MRI to determine if there was any brain damage. As soon as she was able to handle it, a plastic surgeon rebuilt her jaw, the lower half of which was half way down her throat. She was kept in a coma for a week. 2 days ago she woke up and showed little response for 48 hours. Today it was like a switch went on and she is lucid. Her parents were provided a private room to sleep in next to the ICU for 3 days until I bought my RV down & was given a serviced RV spot at the hospital for them to live in for the next 2 weeks or so. Their total bill will be $80 for the ambulance service which includes the helicopter. I don't think I will ever complain about universal health care again, it certainly came through for us at least.

Regarding the young man and his walking away from an "opportunity" - a visual for you: when a Christian man wants to have friends in the "world" (friends with non-Christian values) I tell him imagine standing on a large rock and then try and pull 10 of his friends up on to the rock with him. He cannot do it - the 10 friends will end up pulling him down. Bravo for the young man who walked away from the Glee opportunity. That young Christian man would have had to compromise his values and would have ended up living a "lukewarm" lifestyle which in the end would have destroyed him. Most of the issues discussed in the above article have already been submitted for convention consideration by the states. In all, 49 states have submitted over 700 application, far in excess of the 34 applications required for a convention call by the Constitution. The applications can be read at www.foavc.org. The reason a convention has not been held is Congress refuses to obey the Constitution and call the convention. This cannot be permitted any further.
